Glossybox the Harrods Edition

First of all, I want to explain my adventure with Glossybox. I got the subscription as a gift from my husband and he was willing to pay for it every month. I was very happy and excited when I got my first two boxes, than I got the third box and I noticed that the goodies were getting worse with each box... so I cancelled my subscription and told my husband that I will subscribe to another box. A week later I found out that the next box will be a special edition- HARRODS edition! I knew it was going to be a great box, so I subscribed again :) and I am very happy with the contents. I have seen other bloggers getting a cute mini Burberry lipstick and I really really wanted it, but unfortunately it didn't happen.
Here is what I got:

1.Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter.
Deeply moisturizing, skin softening, naturally rejuvenating body butter in mouth watering blood orange and white pepper. RRP-£20.50-200ml

2.Versace Vanitas Eau De Parfum.
A luxurious scent from the house of Versace. Vanitas is a rich and voluptuous fragrance with notes of tiare flower, lime and freesia.

3.Lancome Teint Miracle.
Natural light creator. Bare skin perfection. Light is not only reflected on the surface: it is also re-emitted from within the skin. I don't need to test it.
It is my Holy Grail foundation. I have been using it for the past 2 years and I love it!

It is light, it has spf 15 and makes my skin look flawless! RRP-£27- 30ml

4.Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream.
A formula rich in regenerating and firming plant extracts which restore the skin's youthful density and elasticity.
It smells nice and fresh and it is a good size sample. I like Clarins products so I am very pleased that I got this cream. RRP-£39.50-200ml

5.Revive Intensite Creme Lustre SPF30.
An intensive, firming moisturizer that helps to reduce the appearance of sagging skin.
This product costs £235 for 60 ml, among it the most luxurious sample in the box.
I can't wait to test it.

NOTD- pastel/candy/gradient nails

Another experiment with gradient effect. This time I used lovely pastel/candy colours.
I fell in love with the final effect.
To achieve this look I applied 5 different shades of nail varnish. Starting with baby pink, going into Berry Ice Cream, Beth's Blue, Blueberry I/C and Aqua blue at the end!
To finish it off I used some glittery Barry M varnish and a shiny top coat.
I love it!!! Definitely give it a go, as it is really easy, you don't need to be precise, just slap it on :)

PS. excuse my cuticles :) they need some tlc :)

NOTD- petrol/gradient effect in black and green TUTORIAL

Hi everyone,
Today I want to share my latest nail art creation.
I have seen many gradient manicures lately and I decided to try something similar.
I think that the final effect looks like petrol :) It is quite easy if you follow this steps:

1.Apply a generous drop of black polish to the bottom of your nail.
2.Quickly apply a drop of green polish to the top of your nail.
3.Blend two colors together with a tooth pick or a needle/pin. Repeat on each nail separately.
4.Wait for the nail polish to dry and apply a top coat.
5.Apply a tiny drop of green metallic polish on the tip of each nail and dab it on with your fingers or makeup sponge.
Does it sound easy? Let me know if you decide to try this, I would love to see your results :)

NEW! Colourful ballerina pumps from H&M

I am not a big fan of heels and I try to avoid them ( I am 5ft 7 and my husband is only 2 inches taller than me), so when I was looking for some new flats for spring/summer 2012, I found these beautiful colourful comfortable and affordable ballerina pumps for just £7.99 a pair. They look amazing with dresses, jeans and leggings and I absolutely love them!

mix and match :) just kidding :)

SAMPLING DR. HAUSCHKA

I received a few samples to try out from Dr. Hauschka a couple of weeks ago and after giving them a go, I might treat myself to some full size products. I am sure, you've all heard about this natural skin care brand and probably tried some of their products. If not, make sure to visit their website www.drhauschka.co.uk

1.Rose Day Cream*- This award winning cream smells absolutely beautiful and it's made with the extract of over 1,075 organic Rose petals in each tube! It is a perfect moisturiser for winter, as it nourishes, soothes redness and protects your skin from harsh weather. It also encourages the skin to repair and restore itself.
The full size product costs £23.95 for 30 ml or £3.50 for trial size.

2.Rosemary Leg and Arm Toner*- I have always suffered from leg cramps, so I was very happy to receive this sample. It's meant to promote lymphatic circulation in legs and feet, relief swollen ankles and tone the skin.  I really enjoyed using it. I massaged it into my legs and it felt great on my skin, it is cooling and very refreshing. I would recommend this to anybody who spends a lot of time standing, or to improve circulation on a long plane journey.  The full size product costs £24.95 for 100ml or £3.50 for trial size.

3.Spruce bath*- This bath oil contains the essential oil of Norway Spruce needles which encourages you to breathe more deeply and slowly. It is perfect for people with sinus problems (like me), as it helps to clear congestion. It smells exactly like a pine forest! All you need to do is close the bathroom door and relax in a warm bath.  You can also use a few drops for a face wash, a warm compress or rub it all over your body with a flannel after a shower. The aroma is amazing!  The full size product  costs £17.95 for 150 ml.

4.Quince Body Moisturiser*- It is a very light formula that absorbs quickly and leaves your skin smelling really fresh an feeling smooth and nourished. As I don't have much time to myself, I look for products that are absorbed quickly, but give your skin a real boost. It retails at £22.95 for 145 ml.

5.Soothing Mask*- It's an intensive face mask, made for all skin types and praised by people with sensitive skin. You only need to use it 1-2 times a week to give your skin a boost of radiance, sooth redness and irritation. My skin became very irritated lately and I had two giant red patches on my cheeks for the past two weeks, but after using this face mask twice... the red patches disappeared! I am very pleased with this face product and I think it is worth the high price tag - £32.95 for 30 ml.

PASTELS- MY FINDS IN MINT + WISHLIST

Hi everyone.
I always loved pastel colours, so I was happy to see that they are one of the trends for S/S 2012.
I keep browsing through hundreds of on-line shops, looking at their new collections, but... I am on a spending ban at the moment :(
I managed to put together some pieces in a lovely pastel green/mint colour that I found in my collection without breaking the bank :)

The jersey scarf is definitely my favourite. I got it as a present from my best friend :) I love it.

AND HERE IS MY WISHLIST IN MINT:
MY WISHLIST IN MINT

NOTD- mint green -perfect spring nails

Inspired by pastel colours, spring and flowers, I came up with this cute design.
Mint green and a very dark matte green colour looked like a perfect combination to me.

NOTD- MUA love hearts in U&I and heart design with Konad plate

The weather today was beautiful. The sun was shining and I decided to paint my nails with a lovely spring colour. I chose U&I from MUA love hearts collection. It's a pastel candy yellow colour and it looks absolutely beautiful, but today plain colour didn't tickle my fancy, so I added a heart design with my Konad stamping kit. I used the M73 plate. I don't own any Konad nail polishes that are meant to be used for stamping. I used Barry M nail polish in Fuschia and finished it off with Sally Hansen Insta-dri top coat.

I hope you are having a fabulous day xxx
