NOTD- Barry M- Mint Green

Hallo everyone!
I bought some Barry M nail polishes in pastel shades and they are really nice.
Today I used Mint green no 203.
Its nearly the same colour as my Forever 21 bracelet :)

INTRODUCTION TO GREEN PEOPLE

About 3 weeks ago, I was lucky enough to receive some great products to try out from GREEN PEOPLE.
You are probably familiar with the name, because it's one of the most popular organic brands on the market. If you haven't heard about them, check the Green People website: www.greenpeople.co.uk

The Green People Mission is to promote an organic lifestyle and provide high quality, gentle, organic, natural health and home care formulations. They don't test on animals and most of their products are registered by the Vegan Society.  All of Green People products are suitable for Vegetarians.

I received  a package with three products including:
-Gentle Cleanse-Softening cleanser & make-up remover for all skin types
-Vita Min Mask-A nourishing, anti-ageing mask for all skin types
-Fruitful Nights-night cream for tired, dry or mature skin

Gentle Cleanse*-Softening cleanser & make-up remover for all skin types.
This natural skin care product is made without Parabens, Lanolin, ethyl alcohol, artificial perfumes, petrochemicals, phthalates and colourants to bring you the purest cleanser that nature can offer. Its a 2 in 1 cleanser- make up remover and face wash.  I really liked the fresh herbal smell of the cleanser, with hints of chamomile, marshmallow and aloe vera.  I gently massage it into my face and it feels really nice in the palms of my fingers. It removes make up easily, including waterproof mascara (I used cotton wool pads for that up).  I have very sensitive eyes so I need to be careful when it comes to eye make up removers, but this one didn't irritate my eyes and left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.  It really helps to balance, nourish and moisture your skin and it's got anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory properties. It retails at 16.95 for 200 ml and you can get it here. It also comes in a smaller 50 ml bottle and 10ml travel size.

Vita Min Mask*-A nourishing, anti-ageing mask for all skin types.
I can't describe how much I love this mask! It smells very fruity and it feels amazing when it's working its magic. The aroma is a combination of organic mandarin, seaweed and avocado.  I used it every second day because my skin needed hydration. It revitalised  my skin leaving it fresh and giving it a nice healthy glow. The mask is full of vitamins, minerals and nutrients, contains antioxidants to protect against cell damage and it's very calming and soothing to delicate, sensitive skin. Massage it into clean and exfoliated face and neck and just relax for 20-30 minutes. Its a non-drying mask so its very easy to remove. The 50 ml bottle will cost you £11.95 and its available here.

Fruitful Nights*-night cream for tired, dry or mature skin.
I used the cream every night after cleansing my face with the Green People Gentle Cleanse and toning with an organic toner. It's definitely the best smelling cream I have ever tried! It smells even better than the Vita Min mask. I would describe the smell as the scent of an amazing fruit smoothie. It contains organic jojoba, hibiscus and rosehip. It helps to reduce the appearance of blemishes and imperfections, removes dead skin cells, minimises fine lines giving your skin an even texture and leaving it soft and smooth. You can buy full size product for £14.95 here or get 10 ml travel size for £3.60.

CARMINE BOX REVIEW

Hi everyone,
Today I want to share the best bargain of the month with you :) It is the Carmine beauty box that I got on offer for £5! I love it!

The packaging is lovely. I will definitely keep it and use it for Christmas presents or to organise my make up and jewellery :)
Here is what I got in January box:
1.Eldora eyelashes-I tried them and they look absolutely fabulous on! They are really light weight, look natural and gorgeous.
2.Westlab detoxifying himalayan bath salts- really good stuff, left my skin feeling really smooth.
3.Balance Me radiance face oil-great little product-a tiny roll-on that gives your face nice glow
4.Korres wild rose 24 hour moisturiser- smells amazing and felt great on my skin.
5.Eyeko fat eye stick-haven't tried it yet but the colour looks nice.
There was also a voucher for Korres products- £5 in House Of Frasers for purchases over £25.

I really liked the content of the box and I would love to stay subscribed, but I can't afford all the beauty boxes each month. I will probably just switch between them every month :)
The subscription costs £10 a month plus £2.95 for P&P.
The £5 offer was limited and for one box only.

It says that they are closing services for NON-BLOGGER users.

NOTD- Dior Vernis Nail Polish Pink Boa No. 349

Hi everyone.
Quick NOTD post today :) I always wanted to try Dior nail polish and I finally bought one few weeks ago :) The shade is called Pink Boa no 349. One thing I love about this nail polish is the shape of the brush. It makes the application really easy. I am not sure about the consistency though...
One coat would be perfect for a french manicure, but I wanted a more opaque colour. To achieve this I needed three generous coats. The final effect was quite nice, so my score is 7/10.
I wouldn't pay the full price for it. I think it retails at £14. I bought it on a blog sale for £5 :)
What do you think about Dior nail polish? I would love to hear your opinion.

MUST HAVE- Weleda Skin Food Review

We are what we eat as some say. What I am going to recommend today is to feed your skin with Weleda's Skin Food* It is a truly amazing product that will literally save your skin!

WELEDA SKIN FOOD
It is a deeply moisturising skin repair cream that will help to heal all those stubborn dry and rough patches on your knees, elbows and anywhere else on your body. You can also use it as a face cream if your skin is dry, especially to protect it from harsh winter weather.
It's also praised by models and make up artists and guess what...even Rihanna loves it :)
Its made with natural ingredients including Hypoallergenic lanolin, Sweet Almond oil and Sunflower Seed oil. I was very happy when  received a package from Weleda few days ago with their famous Skin Food. I've got very dry skin on my elbows and knees so I couldn't  wait to start testing it :)
First impressions:Great smell-very fresh and herbal/citrusy. Thick consistency-exactly what I expect from a deeply moisturising cream. Nice packaging-I like the fact that it's a metal tube, this way you can squeeze every single drop out of it :) It left my skin feeling much smoother instantly. After using it for a couple of days the condition of my skin on elbows and knees improved dramatically.
It will definitely become my essential cream, not only for winter, but all year round.
You can buy the famous SKIN FOOD directly form www.weleda.co.uk available in two sizes:
-travel size 30ml
-full size 75ml

I was also sent a product for my baby boy-Weleda Calendula Bath*
I loved the smell-it's quite strong and it clears your airways, so used before bedtime it will definitely help with better sleep. I am always scared to try new skin care products on my baby because he had eczema for a while, but this product didn't irritate Zachary's sensitive skin. It also left his hair smelling really fresh.

URBAN DECAY BOOK OF SHADOWS VOL II review with swatches

I noticed that everyone went crazy for the Urban Decay Naked and Naked2 palettes and I must admit- I was thinking about purchasing them myself.  I decided to wait though, because I own a huge collection of  single Urban Decay eye shadows (about 20) and the Book Of Shadows Vol II... and I really don't need more eyeshadows at the moment.  Saying that... I know that I will buy both of the palettes really soon :) haha. I am an Urban Decay addict and I love the formula of their eye shadows! Anyway... Here is my review of the beautiful Book Of Shadows Vol II.

First of all, I like the unusual packaging. The palette comes with a big mirror and has a 'secret' compartment/door with a little booklet hidden inside. In the booklet, you can find some gorgeous makeup looks. The eye shadows are hidden in a pullout drawer and the whole thing is made of thick cardboard with  lovely peacock feather print accents.

There is 16 shades in the palette, all are easy to apply and stay on all day, if used with a primer. Most shades have a creamy consistency and they are definitely my favourites -easy to work with and super pigmented. My favourite shades are: Sellout, Half baked, YDK, Nylon, Jinx & Flipside. I rarely use Misdemeanor and Perversion, because the formula is less creamy than the other shades. It's great to have the eye pencils and a mini primer in the palette too, because you can do most of your eye make up without reaching for other products. (except mascara). The quality of these is equally good and I love how pigmented the pencils are. probably my favourite eye pencils ever!

I can't remember how much I paid for this palette, probably between £30-£40, but I am very pleased with it and I think it is worth every penny. I love it! I give this palette 10 out of 10! It is probably my most used makeup purchase ever and definitely my favourite eye shadow palette.

PS. All the swatches below were done with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion applied as a base.

perversion, gunmetal, ecstasy, AC/DC

nylon, sellout, mushroom, sphynx

half baked, twice baked, midnight cowboy rides again,YDK

jinx, flipside, homegrown, misdemeanor

primer, glide on eyepencils in bourbon and zero

look from the booklet included in the palette
