MAC Hug Me Lipstick

I am not a MAC addict and I think that their prices are quite steep without a PRO discount, but I like most of their products. I picked up MAC Hug Me (£15.50) when I got the Absolutely It Lip Pencil and they became my go to lip combo. Sooo gorgeous!

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish
I have been meaning to pick up a MAC lip pencil for a while, but I wasn't sure what shade or formula I should get. After looking at swatches on various blogs, I settled on the Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish. It's slightly more expensive than the standard MAC Lip Pencil, but it is meant to last longer on the lips etc. But was it worth the extra money?

Guest Post: Top 5 MAC products/ Sweet Electric

MAC is one of my favourite brands. I've tried a few of their products over the years so picking a top 5 was difficult. However, I've managed to narrow it down and theres some real gems in here.

MAC Contrast Eye Makeup Look

Every time I photograph a makeup look without falsies, I think it looks a bit unfinished, but... I am giving my lashes a break, so no falsies this time :) The eye shadows I used for this look are Contrast and Nylon. I must admit, Nylon has been my most used MAC shade and it goes with so many looks. I would definitely recommend picking it up. Contrast is a stunning dark blue with purple undertones and a velvet finish and it is perfect for a dark blue smokey eye.

MAC Humid and Lucky Green Eye Makeup Look

Another MAC makeup look :) My MAC palette is definitely getting a lot of love! This time I used a super bright green shade called Lucky Green and a dark/medium green called Humid. I also added a little bit of Nylon to blend out the edges.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NC20 Review

After having a horrible reaction to MAC Studio Fix Fluid, I was very sceptical about trying their concealer, but... I had some Debenhams points on my card so I decided to give Pro Longwear Concealer a go. It was mainly for camouflaging my under eye circles and blemishes, so I didn't expect it to cause any problems.

MAC 217 dupes - comparison

After hearing many good things about the MAC 217 brush, I finally ordered it. You can read my full review of 217 here, but today I would like to introduce you to some more affordable dupes of the brush, ranging from 99p to £10.50. Some of them are incredible and very similar to the amazing 217, some are simply ok and one is a bit disappointing. Is the MAC 217 THE BEST? I will give you a spoiler. YES!

MAC Coppering Eye Makeup Look

I wore this look on Christmas Day and New Years Eve and I absolutely love it. It is super simple and you only need two eyeshadows to create it - MAC Coppering and Nylon. If you have similar shades from other brands- you can use them instead. I would definitely recommend picking up Coppering though, because it is simply stunning. Nylon is just a highlight colour and you can swap it for any light beige :)

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review

After reading many rave reviews of this MAC foundation and seeing how beautiful it looks on the skin, I decided to finally place an order and see if Studio Fix Fluid is worth the hype. My first impression was very positive and I was close to calling it my new Holy Grail, but... unfortunately something horrible happened.

Makeup Look: MAC Expensive Pink, Club and Nylon

I am still obsessed with my MAC palette and I try to create a nice variety of looks, instead of going for the same brown smoky eye every single day :) Obviously, there is nothing wrong with that,  but I simply want to get a lot of use out of all the individual eye shadows I picked for my palette. My favourite look so far must be the combination of Expensive Pink with Club and Nylon. I must admit, I wore it more than once, because it really suits my eye colour.

MAC 217 - worth the hype?

I have been thinking about buying the 217 brush for absolute ages, but paying £18.00 for an eye shadow brush seemed a bit extravagant. After some encouragement from fellow bloggers, I finally ordered it, taking advantage of a 10% off Debenhams offer. I only used 217 a couple of times, but I already know how I feel about it :) Soo... is it worth the hype?

New additions to my MAC Palette: Contrast, Expensive Pink, Coppering, Lucky Green, Espresso and Satin Taupe

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you will know that I have been buying lots of new MAC eye shadows. I really wanted to fill my palette as soon as possible, so I took advantage of the Debenhams 10% off deal and bagged myself over 1500 points on my Beauty Card too :) YAY! The shades I got are: Satin Taupe, Espresso, Expensive Pink, Coppering, Contrast and Lucky Green. I wanted a nice variety of colours and I must admit, I am very happy with all my choices.

Makeup Look: MAC Antiqued, Amber Lights, All That Glitters

I thought it was about time to feature a more wearable makeup look, created with my new MAC eye shadows. This time I chose Antiqued, Amber Lights and All That Glitters. They are all absolutely beautiful and go together really nicely. I wear this quick and easy look when I don't have a lot of time to do my makeup.

October Favourites

My October favourites are a week late this time, but I couldn't wait to share my most loved skincare and makeup products :) I also decided to include some random favourites this month at the end of the post :) As usual, I have a lot to share, so let's get started.

New additions to my MAC Palette: Sumptuous Olive, Club and Nylon (review, makeup look and swatches)

Building a MAC palette ain't cheap and it doesn't happen overnight, but... I couldn't resist ordering three more shades online. I also got a sample of the Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara and free delivery so it wasn't too bad :) The shades I got this time are Nylon, Sumptuous Olive and Club. The first one is a perfect highlight and the two green colours look lovely with brown eyes, so I just had to order them

Autumn Eyes: MAC Cranberry, Sketch, All That Glitters & Retrospeck

I mentioned in my 'MAC Palette' post that I bought very Autumn appropriate shades and some of you asked me to create a makeup look with them. Your wish is my command, so here it is: MAC Cranberry & Sketch Smokey Eye. I used a mixture of my new full size MAC eyeshadows and some shades from my MAC Fabulousness Palette. I wanted the look to be quite dramatic, so I added black liner and loads of mascara.

Building my first MAC palette!

I always promise myself to stop spending money on makeup, but there are things I have been meaning to buy for a long time and a MAC palette is one of them. It isn't a cheap treat, because once it is full it will cost me a total of over £170, but... I really think it is worth investing in. My  MAC eye shadow wish list is really long, but I thought I should start with four Autumn appropriate colours.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle - review and swatches

"A luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smoothes on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, brows, anywhere on the body: provides an ultra-deluxe polish to the skin."

This product has been reviewed a thousand times or more... I know... But I have to share my thoughts with you.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle is a must have product in everybody's makeup bag.
Once you start using it, you will know why. I can't imagine my makeup collection and my everyday makeup routine without it now. I use it every day, unless I am having a makeup free day, which doesn't happen very often.

MAC Myth lipstick review

MAC Satin Lipstick- Myth 3g £14.00 link

I love the look of nude lipsticks but in my opinion it is really hard to find a perfect nude/beige shade.
I bought a couple of MAC lipsticks recently and I couldn't resist picking up Myth.
It seemed like a perfect shade, but I wasn't sure if the formula will be creamy enough.
Myth is a light neutral nude shade with a satin finish and it is very pigmented.
It feels fairly comfortable on the lips and stays put for about 4-6 hours.
It isn't very moisturising, but it isn't  drying either. I am still not sure about it.
I prefer to use a lip balm before applying this shade, but in the swatches I used it on its own.

I am not in love with Myth, but I will be wearing it with a lip balm in the future.
I found a perfect nude recently and I will be reviewing it soon- it is the gorgeous YSL Rouge Volupte in shade 02 Sensual Silk.

If you were considering buying Myth, I would give it a miss ladies :)

If you own Myth, what are your thoughts?

MAC Vegas Volt lipstick review

I am so excited to share this review with you.
I bought some MAC lipsticks recently and this is my favourite from all three.
I got Vegas Volt, Myth and Viva Glam Nicki. I also bought sculpting creams and I love them!
I will be reviewing all lipsticks and the creams separately in October.

I am very fussy when it comes to lipsticks and I find most of them drying, but not this one.
The beauty I am talking about is Vegas Volt. It is the most beautiful coral shade I have ever seen, with an amplified creme finish. It is a lovely, warm colour and will suit all skin tones. I know that it is a very summery shade, but I am totally in love with it and I had to share it :) I think that every girl needs this lipstick in their collection. It is very moisturising, it applies beautifully and I feel very comfortable wearing it on my lips.  It stays put for about 4 hours, but I like to top it  up after 2 hours to keep the colour vibrant. I am already planning more purchases from MAC and all of them will be the amplified creme lipsticks! Perfect!

What is your favourite MAC lipstick? I would love to hear some recommendations.
