Liz Earle Botanical Essence Shampoo & Conditioner

I am very fussy with shampoo and conditioner, as I like gentle formulas and I can't use anything too heavy on my fine hair. I have always liked the Liz Earle hair care line, but this limited edition duo, scented with Geranium, Citrus and Vanilla is simply out of this world!

Liz Earle Superskin Superlip Balm Review

I am a huge fan of the Liz Earle Superskin range, so when I first got my mitts on the Superskin Superlip Balm*(£16.00), I was very excited! It quickly became a staple in my makeup bag and in my night time skincare routine and I am absolutely in love with it.

Liz Earle Superskin Overnight Mask Review

I adore face masks, especially nourishing ones, like the Liz Earle Superskin Overnight Mask*(£42.00). I have been using it for a few months now and it quickly became my go to product for giving my skin a boost of moisture and making it feel soft and plump.

Liz Earle Superskin Oils

I love a good body oil, especially in the winter, as my skin gets a bit dry from the central heating. My elbows and knees are my problem areas and when I feel the dryness rubbing against my clothes, I know it's time for a pamper! The two Liz Earle Superskin Oils are perfect for that and I can't stop using them.

Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.9 review

I adore Liz Earle fragrances and the new Botanical Essence No.9* is no exception. Plus the bottle is definitely my favourite one so far, as the vibrant purple colour is just stunning!

Afternoon Tea with Liz Earle

Guess what my lovelies? I went to my first ever event! Yep... After saying no to events for over 4 years, I finally kicked my anxiety's butt and got over my fear of meeting new people and being socially awkward. I just couldn't say no to afternoon tea with Liz Earle, as her skincare products have a special place in my heart! It was such a lovely event and I was worried for no reason, because everyone was lovely and I am now feeling more comfortable going to any future blogger events.

My favourite Autumn/Winter Blushers

I usually wear subtle colours on my cheeks, but my blusher collection includes many strong colours too and there is no better time to wear them than A/W. The only reason why I normally avoid darker colours is because I tend to overdo my blush and end up looking like a clown :) haha. It is easily fixed though. I have three favourites at the moment, all absolutely gorgeous and nicely pigmented.

My new (old) routine with Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare

Hi everyone. I recently shared my skincare routine on the blog, but I used up some of the products and I also felt like I needed a change. I have been using various  Liz Earle products for nearly a year and I always reach for them, when I don't feel like experimenting with new cleansers etc...

So, it is back to basics for me. I reviewed most of the products in this post already, but I will quickly share my thoughts again and explain why I like this simple routine.

Review: LIZ EARLE Signature Foundation in shade 03 Nude

Hi everyone!

The full Liz Earle Colour range is finally here and complete with every product I could imagine, from foundations, powders and blushers to eye shadows, lipsticks and mascara.
I declared my love for Liz Earle skincare and make-up many times  and every single product I try is absolutely amazing and I am never disappointed.  I received the Liz Earle Signature Foundation and foundation brush last week and I am very excited to share my thoughts with you.
happy face :)

LIZ EARLE SIGNATURE FOUNDATION in shade 03 Nude* 25 ml £21.00 link

"Our silky formula offers easy-to-build coverage and glides on easily to give a smooth, radiant finish and an even, natural-looking complexion. Beautifully buildable and blendable, with a special mix of spherical particles and coated pigments that offer long-lasting colour. Enriched with our own natural source vitamin E. Available in nine shades"

First of all -the packaging is gorgeous. It is a classic and elegant design- a glass bottle with a dark navy blue lid and white Liz Earle logo. I love good quality foundations and I am always ready to pay a lot of money if something works for me. I think that prices of Liz Earle make-up are very reasonable, becasue the quality is equal to all expensive, high end brands I tried.
I am happy to say, that I am in love with this product. The consistency is lovely and creamy, but at the same time it feels light on the skin. It gives a beautiful finish and medium coverage with one layer or full coverage with two layers. It is easy to apply and blend and looks very natural. Shade 03 Nude is darker than I expected, but it suits my light olive complexion. If you are pale I would suggest shade 01 and if you have average white skin tone, shade 02 would probably be the best option for you. There is nine shades to chose from and I think that everybody will be able to find a close match for their skin tone. One thing about this foundation that really stands out is the lasting power- it stays on my skin all day, without going cakey or patchy. The quality is amazing! I usually set it with Liz Earle natural Finish Loose Powder to achieve a matte finish, but it looks lovely on its own too.
Overall, I am very impressed and I have been using this foundation every day since I got my little sample in the Liz Earle Beauty Insider magazine. I got the full size product a couple of days later.

LIZ EARLE FOUNDATION BRUSH* £18 link

"With its semi-flat head, our brush has been specifically designed to effortlessly apply and blend your foundation. The rounded shape allows expert application to those harder-to-reach places around the nose, chin and under eyes."

To be honest, I never use foundation brushes and always apply foundation with my fingers and blend with a  buffing brush, but I gave this brush a go and I love it!  The finish it gives is perfect and it distributes the product evenly allover my face. It really helps to reach tricky areas, like around my nose and under my eyes etc. I used RT buffing brush with the Liz Earle Signature foundation as well, but instead of distributing the product it was sort of absorbing it. I will definitely use this brush to apply my foundation from now on. It is perfect! Liz Earle brushes are made from 100% man-made fibres, so they are animal-friendly :)

Liz Earle Special Edition Rose and Lavender Cleanse & Polish

I can't describe my excitement about Liz Earle Special Edition Rose and Lavender Cleanse & Polish!
I wasn't expecting it in the post, so when I opened the package I had a big smile on my face!
I am a big fan of the original Cleanse & Polish, so I knew that I will love the new rose and lavender one.

Liz Earle Special Edition Rose and Lavender Cleanse & Polish* £19.75 (£2 goes to charity)

I reviewed the original Cleanse and Polish here and I must admit, it is still my favourite cleanser. I repurchased it already and also got a couple of travel size tubes when they were free with a magazine. If you haven't tried Cleanse & Polish yet, now would be a perfect time to do it, because £2 from each bottle sold goes to Princess Trust to help young people in UK. Great cause!

The special edition design is absolutely beautiful and it is the prettiest bottle in my bathroom :)
It is a 150ml pump, which is 50ml more than the original C&P pump. I noticed the size difference as soon as I picked it up :) 100ml lasted me for over 2 months of everyday use (twice a day) so this one will last for over 3 months of constant use.

The special ingredients in the new formula are rose and lavender essential oils, so the scent is slightly different than the original. It is a subtle lavender and floral scent and it is very relaxing.

I use my original Cleanse & Polish in the morning and the special edition at night. It is perfect to remove makeup and daily grime off my face and doesn't irritate my eyes. It is creamy and luxurious and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I adore everything about this product and it is my holy grail cleanser. If you haven't tried it yet, why not do it now and support a great cause?

It will be available from Liz Earle website from the 6th of September, Liz Earle stores, John Lewis and QVC.

I am a big fan of the original cleanse and polish and it is my holy grail cleanser so I can't wait to try the special edition one! Here is the press release:

Liz Earle Natural Glow Bronzer and Healthy Glow Powder Blush in Peony - perfect for summer.

Liz Earle is definitely one of my favourite brands and I adore their skincare and makeup.
I was recently sent two gorgeous products to try out, the Natural Glow Bronzer and Healthy Glow Powder Blush in Peony.
I already own one powder blush from LE Colour in shade Nectar and it is my favourite cheek product :) I love the packaging, the consistency, the colour payoff and the staying power. It is 100% perfect.

When I first opened the blusher I thought that it will be too dark for me. It is a soft raspberry colour perfect for darker skin tones, but also works on lighter skin if applied lightly. The colour payoff is incredible, the pigmentation is amazing and the consistency is soft and easy to blend. As soon as I applied it onto my cheeks I discovered my love for the gorgeous raspberry shade. The fact that I only need one delicate sweep of the product on each cheek makes me think that this little blusher will last forever and I will never hit the pan :) Which is a good thing :)
There is 7 shades available, Peony being the darkest one.
If you want to treat yourself to a lovely, good quality product, this one is perfect.
I bought a NARS blusher recently and to be honest- the quality of the Liz Earle Healthy Glow Powder Blush is much better and it comes at a lower price.

LIZ EARLE NATURAL GLOW BRONZER* 10g £19.50

I use bronzers on a daily basis to add a healthy glow to my face, create a sunkissed look and to contour my cheekbones. I was very excited to try the Natural Glow Bronzer after reading many positive reviews when the Liz Earle Colour range launched. I am not disappointed, in fact ... I am blown away! The bronzer has the softest consistency and it looks very natural on my skin tone. There is only one shade available at the moment and it isn't suitable for darker skin. My complexion is naturally light olive, I also use fake tan on my face sometimes and this shade works really well for me.
The quality is amazing, so I don't think I will be buying a new bronzer anytime soon. This one is perfect. Have you tried Liz Earle makeup? Let me know what you think about it.

PS. All Liz Earle products are 100%  bunny friendly :)

Liz Earle Summer Essentials

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a lovely Sunday! I am finally publishing a review of must have summer essentials from Liz Earle.  The products I am reviewing today are: Botanical Aftersun Gel, Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion, Foot Spritzer and Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer.
I thought I will never get a chance to properly try these ;) The weather has been terrible for a couple of weeks, but surprisingly, the past few days were nice and sunny. I spent a lot of time outside with my baby boy and  caught some rays. I was covered with SPF30 though, so I didn't get a tan. All the products featured in this post are perfect for summer and help to sooth and hydrate the skin.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer* 200ml £13.00 link

"This heavenly floral-scented, non-drying toner refreshes, soothes and brightens your skin. Gentle and alcohol-free, it also adds a fine layer of moisture.  Naturally active ingredients include organic aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin"

The Skin Boost Tonic Spritzer  is my favourite toner and the one I always reach for.
It smells beautiful and is very soothing for my skin. I reviewed it already a couple of months ago here.
It is perfect for summer, if you want to refresh your face when sunbathing  or if you need to give your skin a boost of energy when you are on the go. The bottle is a generous size and the price is very affordable. For me it is a must have product and the one I will always repurchase.

Liz Earle Botanical Aftersun Gel* 200ml £13.50 link

"Our light, rehydrating gel cools, calms and nourishes sun-exposed skin by replacing lost moisture. Premium high-altitude lavender is soothing and cucumber refreshing, while antioxidant natural source vitamin E helps counteract the damaging effects of the sun’s rays.Massage into the skin as often as needed after exposure to the sun.Containing cooling organic aloe vera and refreshing cucumber, plus natural source vitamin E to help counteract the damaging effects of the sun’s rays.Suitable for all skin types"

I love the feeling of a cool gel on my skin, after a long day in the sun! It is amazing! I tried this gel yesterday and I love it! It cools the skin, makes it feel refreshed and hydrated. It is full of natural ingredients chosen especially to soothe the skin after exposure to the sun.
I also used it on my legs a couple of times, when I needed something to relief the annoying pain I get after a long day on my feet.

Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion* 150ml £10.25

"Wake up and revitalise eyes with cotton wool pads soaked in this gentle, soothing herbal lotion.
Non-oily, it is ideal for irritated eyes and suitable for contact lens wearers.Apply to a cotton wool pad to clean and wake up your eyes first thing. Naturally active ingredients include eyebright, witch hazel, organic aloe vera and cornflower to help tone, cool and refresh tired, puffy eyes.Suitable for all skin types"

The Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion is something I always wanted to try. My eyes are very sensitive, constantly sore an itchy. I also get tears in my eyes for no reason all day. I finally found my saviour!
I can't even describe what a difference it made to my eyes and my life! The itchiness and the feeling of tired eyes are gone! I use it in the morning on cotton wool pads to refresh and soothe my tired eyes. If i don't wear make up I try to use it in the afternoon as well. At night, I put a face mask on, I soak two cotton wool pads in the lotion and place them on my eyes for 15 minutes. It helps to reduce redness, puffiness, irritation and the appearance of dark circles.
I am very impressed with Eyebright! If you are looking for something to soothe your sensitive eyes, this product will change your life. (Hopefully!) Well... It really changed mine!

Liz Earle Foot Spritzer* 75ml £7.75 link

"Spritz your feet, legs and ankles with a cooling and invigorating burst of nine essential oils. This fast drying spray fights odour-causing bacteria to help keep feet fresh. It’s the perfect wake-up for weary feet, leaving them revived and revitalised.Spray whenever you need cooling, instant relief. Follow with Liz Earle Foot Repair Moisturiser.Naturally active ingredients include cooling menthol and hydrating aloe vera. Peppermint and rosemary essential oils leave feet smelling sweet."

The last product I want to mention is the Foot Spritzer. I am a big fan of cooling sprays and mists for my feet. I don't like to use foot creams and gels. They usually leave a residue and I don't want that feeling on a hot summer day. The spritzer is perfect, it absorbs instantly and leaves my feet refreshed and smelling lovely! It also helps to fight bacteria and hydrates the skin. It costs only £7.75 so I will definitely buy a new bottle when it runs out.

I really enjoyed using all the products and they made the hot days easier to handle :)
My favourite must be the Eyebright lotion, because it really helped to soothe my sensitive eyes and became a part of my everyday routine.

Review: Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara in Black

When it comes to mascara I buy a new one every 3-6 months for hygiene reasons. I don't want to get a nasty eye infection again. It happened to me before and I spent Christmas 2010 looking very unattractive, with a swollen eye and in tears. Remember ladies - Don't use old mascara!!!
Today I am reviewing the Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara from the Liz Earle Colour Collection.

Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara in Black* 8ml £14.50 link
"Our unique mascara is water-resistant, flake-free and long-lasting, and glides on smoothly to perfectly define each lash. The specially designed brush allows you to make the most of even the shortest lashes, helping to create length and definition. Enriched with natural source vitamin E.
Our multi award-winning Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser gently and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make up, including our water-resistant mascara. Available in two shades."

This mascara is perfect if you are looking for more volume and length at the same time, without looking unnatural. It gives my lashes nice definition and doesn't go clumpy. I got it in Black, but it is also available in Brown. It stays on my lashes all day, without flaking or smudging and holds the curl quite well. My lashes are very dark and thick naturally, so I only need 2 coats to get the desired volume. I always apply one coat, let it dry and apply another thick coat. This mascara is waterproof and enriched with vitamin E. It is easy to remove with any eye make-up remover but I would recommend Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - it is very gentle and suitable for sensitive eyes.

Liz Earle Healthy Glow Powder Blush in Shade 06 Nectar - review

I added a make-up look with this lovely blush and many of you commented on how lovely it was. Thank you, I am blushing naturally from all the compliments :) I love blushers and I can't imagine my make-up without them. I have got 10-15 blushers in my collection and I can't stop myself from buying new ones :) As a beauty blogger, I can be excused, right? :) I am sure you understand my little blusher obsession and probably own more than 10 blushers yourself.
I absolutely adore the Liz Earle Healthy Glow Powder Blush in shade 06- Nectar and I would like to share my thoughts with you and tell you more about it.

LIZ EARLE HEALTHY GLOW POWDER BLUSH 06 NECTAR* 16g £16.50 link
"Our sheer, smooth powder blush enhances cheeks with a soft, healthy-looking finish. The lightweight, easy-to-blend formula contains micronised pigments to make it easy to build up colour as desired. Enriched with our own natural source vitamin E. Available in seven shades."

The thing I like the most about Liz Earle Skincare and make-up is the amazing quality of all products.
I was very excited about the launch of Liz Earle Colour collection and reviewed a couple of products already (here and here) and all of them were perfect.
The packaging is very sturdy and it is a dark navy colour. All Liz Earle blushers and bronzers come with a mirror inside and are a perfect travel/handbag size. They contain natural ingredients and are cruelty free. The Healthy Glow powder blush contains vitamin E to protect skin against free radical damage caused by pollution and the sun’s radiation.
The shade I got is described as vibrant fresh rose-pink and suits medium and dark skin tones. I also used it when I was quite pale and it looked just as beautiful as it did on tanned skin. It adds a gorgeous natural glow to my face and makes my complexion look more healthy. I always apply it very lightly, because shade Nectar is highly pigmented and very vibrant. I set my make-up with L'Occitane Angelica Face Mist and the blush stays on my face all day, looking perfect. There is absolutely no product fallout when I use it with my fingers and minimal fallout if I use a soft blush brush. It doesn't feel drying or powdery and it blends into the skin beautifully!
If you are looking for a perfect summer shade to add a natural glow to your face, I can highly recommend this blush. All 7 shades are also available as a cream blush, so if you are not a fan of powders, you won't be missing out on this gorgeous colour.

Liz Earle SuperSkin Concentrate Review + Cleanse & Polish offer and an amazing project

Hi everyone! Today I am reviewing another lovely Liz Earle product. This time it's from the Superskin range. It is the Superskin Concentrate roller-ball*. I have also got some very exciting news for you.

LIZ EARLE SUPERSKIN CONCENTRATE 10ml* £19.75 link

INFO: "The intense, aromatic blend of 100% pure plant oils in this rich, restoring night-time treat is suitable for all skin types. It helps to soften dry or mature skin and balance combination or oily skin.
Use at night after cleansing and toning (but before moisturising). Naturally active ingredients include softening argan and organic rosehip oils, soothing neroli, lavender and chamomile essential oils plus antioxidant natural source vitamin E. Suitable for all skin types"

MY OPINION: I love using oils on my skin, especially on dry areas of my face. Since my cheeks became really dry and red for some unknown reason a couple of months ago, I have been looking for a facial oil that will help to combat this problem. I am currently using this concentrate at night time, 3-4 times a week along with a deeply hydrating moisturiser, after cleansing my face with Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish (review here) and toning with Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic (review here).
The concentrate smells absolutely amazing. Really strong herbal scent that will make you feel like you are in a SPA. If you are not a fan of very strong scents, it will probably be a bit too much for you. I love it and it makes my night time skin care routine extra special.

Since I started using this oil, the redness on my cheeks became less visible and my skin is starting to look more balanced. It helps to combat  and prevent breakouts and leaves my face looking radiant and fresh. I really like the roller-ball format. It makes the application easy and I only use the amount I actually need. I use it on a small area of my face, so this tiny bottle will last me for a couple of months. If you want to treat yourself to a very indulging oil, this one is perfect! The full size comes in a 28ml bottle with a pump and costs £40.25. You can also get 2ml of the concentrate for £5.75- great way to try it out, before you buy the full size.

CLEANSE AND POLISH OFFER

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is available at its original launch price of £9.50 (100ml plus two pure muslin cloths) instead of the normal price of £14.25! This offer starts today- Wednesday 23rd May and is available until Friday 25th May, or while stocks. If you want to stock up on this amazing product or you haven't tried it before and want to give it a go- now is the time!

LIZ EARLE CHARITY CAMPAIGN WITH PRINCE'S TRUST

Another exciting news. Liz Earle have teamed up with The Prince's Trust to mentor 26-year-old Rebecca Taylor from Doncaster to design a new Liz Earle product that will be sold in aid of The Prince's Trust- a charity that helps disadvantaged young people into jobs and training. The Prince's Trust have launched a new nationwide campaign called the Tomorrow campaign to inspire a generation facing record levels of youth unemployment. Liz Earle is joining other industry faces such as designers Zandra Rhodes and Wayne Hemingway and the iconic photographer Rankin to urge employers to recognise young people as tomorrow's industry leaders. Liz will mentor 26-year-old Rebecca Taylor, who was helped by The Prince's Trust and has a fantastic story of how she turned her life around. Rebecca was unemployed, homeless and pregnant when she came to The Prince's Trust for help to set up her own beauty salon, which she has turned into a successful business. Now, together with Liz, they are going to create an exciting new product for Liz Earle Beauty Co to raise money for The Trust. What an amazing project! I can't wait to see what the product's going to be!

LIZ EARLE COLOUR review: Natural Finish Loose Powder, Powder brush and Perfect Fix Concealer

I can't describe my excitement about this post! I love Liz Earle Skincare and I was counting the days before the launch of Liz Earle Colour collection. It is finally here and we can all enjoy it! I wrote a review of Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint before and you can find it here. Today I am reviewing three products from the new collection: Perfect Fix Concealer in shade 02 fair, Natural Finish Loose Powder in shade 01 Natural Ivory and a Powder Brush. I love all of them and I can honestly say, that the Liz Earle Colour Collection was worth the wait.

Natural Finish Loose Powder 01 natural ivory 12g* £19.50 link

MY OPINION: This powder feels feather light on my skin, but gives beautiful coverage and a natural looking finish at the same time. Shade 01 natural ivory is perfect for me, it blends into my skin tone perfectly, leaving my complexion looking flawless. I used the Liz Earle powder brush to apply it over Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint and this combination works perfectly for me.
If I apply it in the morning it stays on my face for over 6 hours, after that a quick touch up will make it stay on for the rest of the day.
The packaging is very sturdy and you need to unscrew the lid and twist a protective cover inside to get the powder. I really like this design, it prevents making a mess, something that loose powders are known for, so you can put it in your handbag without worrying.

MY OPINION: I don't own many concealers, but I really needed to get a good quality one to reduce the appearance of dark circles, small imperfections and redness around my nose. This concealer is exactly what I was looking for: a very creamy formula that glides onto the skin and feels very very light. It is perfect for camouflaging dark circles and it does a great job at hiding redness and blemishes I have got on my face.
