Lancôme was the first high end brand I have ever tried as an adult and I wore a lot of their makeup on my wedding day, so it has always been pretty special to me. Back then, I used to be obsessed with lipglosses and their Juicy Tubes, so using a Lancôme lipgloss always makes me feel very sentimental. The new L'Absolu Glosses feature a beautiful non sticky formulation and they look gorgeous on the lips. If you are a fan of the glossy look, keep reading.
First of all, the packaging is really gorgeous. I especially love the stunning gold roses on the lids (see last photo). The doe foot applicators are perfect too and don't feel flimsy. There are a few different types of finishes to choose from: a clear plumping gloss, a sheer gloss and a gloss lip cream. There's also a matte formula in the exact same packaging.
On the left, we have Rosy Plump* (£23.00), which is the plumping lip gloss with a cooling sensation. It feel very hydrating and comforting on the lips and adds a gorgeous shine and extra plumpness. I adore it! I wear it on it's own or on top of lip liner or lipstick and it's just beautiful! It's enriched with hyaluronic acid for hydration and menthol to provide a cooling effect.
On the right, we have one of the Sheer Glosses*(£22.00) in a shade Pourquoi Pas - a vibrant fuschia pink with gorgeous sparkles running through. It is nicely pigmented, feels comfortable on the lips and adds hydration. It is enriched with pigments & pearls for translucent colour with a shine finish.
Both of these are non sticky and feel almost like a balm. Such a lovely texture.
I think it's safe to say that glossy lips are back. I know that I've definitely been loving a glossy finish lately, as it makes my lips look super plump.
