Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow Review

When it comes to meals out, we very rarely go out as a family of four, but we recently went to Hard Rock Cafe in Glasgow to try their Roxtars menu for kids and of course the normal menu as well.

I was super excited to go, as I love the vibe of Hard Rock Cafe. The decor, the music and all the incredible memorabilia displayed everywhere. My kind of place.

We started with virgin mojitos, as usual. It's always our drink of choice. Scott had an elderflower and cucumber mojito and I had a coconut and pineapple version. Both delicious!

For the starter we opted for the JUMBO COMBO, which consists of Hard Rock Cafe's most popular appetizers: Signature Wings, Onion Rings, Tupelo Chicken Tenders, Southwest Springrolls and Bruschetta. Served with honey mustard, hickory barbecue and blue cheese dressing.

OMG! It was the best starter ever and it was massive! The spring rolls were my favourite part! The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection and the wings and onion rings were to die for! And the dips were perfect too!

The kids tried the Hard Rock Roxtars menu and they really enjoyed it. The Hard Rock Roxtars menu is available for ages 10 and under all day, every day throughout the year. The menu has been specially created to provide perfectly balanced mains, sides such as fresh fruit and seasonal vegetables, as well as sweet treats for dessert.

The kids dishes are served on little guitar shaped plates, which is so cool! They loved them!

Mia had fish sticks with chips. I might have nibbled on one of the fish sticks for review purposes, but shhhh! So yummy!

Zachary chose pizza and chips, but he had some of Mia's fish as well as he couldn't decide between the two. They love sharing their meals when we eat out, so they have more variety.

Scott's main was the ORIGINAL LEGENDARY BURGER, filled with  smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, a golden fried onion ring, lettuce and vine ripened tomato. It was amazing! With a side of chips of course.

The brioche bun was delicious and the flavour of the burger was perfectly smoky! All the toppings went so well together! Yum!

I opted for the 12-oz New York strip steak, (medium-rare), topped with herb butter and served with a side of golden mashed potatoes and broccoli. Oh, the steak was simply AMAZING (and huge), so I gave a bit to Scott. I love the simplicity of this dish, like a perfect homemade dinner!

The kids also had milkshakes. Mia had the Oreo one and Zac chose the chocolate flavour. Yum!

As Mia was going a bit wild, crawling under tables and entertaining guests at other tables (she's a performer, what can I say...), Scott took her for a little walk and I stayed for dessert with Zac.

How yummy does this sundae look! And Zac's face says it all. It was delicious!

With a cherry on top!

We were also kindly given some desserts to take home, as we couldn't stay any longer. The Oreo cheesecake and a chocolate brownie. So, so good! And the portions were huge! This is only 1/3 of each one!

Overall, we had a great time, but next time we will probably just take Zac, as it's too stressful going for meals  out with Mia. She has too much energy and wants to run around. Saying that, the staff were so lovely and they were giving the kids loads of attention, which was so nice of them.

If you're planning to visit Hard Rock Cafe with kids, have a look at their Halloween themed Li’l Monsters Breakfast buffet and morning of entertainment with spooky games, competitions and prizes between 9-11am on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October. Halloween costumes are encouraged for an extra frightening time! How amazing! I am considering taking Zachary, as he loves Halloween!
