Christmas Gift Guide: Home Fragrance

How excited are you when it's time to light those Christmas candles? I burn some of mine all year round, because I love festive scents a lot, but I keep some special ones exclusive to December to create a nice atmosphere and lovely memories. Scent is a powerful thing, so it's pretty important to me to have my house smelling good. Here are some of my top picks for Christmas 2016.

Starting with Crabtree & Evelyn, we have some pretty amazing options. The Windsor Forest Botanical Candle*(£25.00) is an absolute dream. Inspired by walks through frosty, snow-covered woods, the candle smells like Fir Needle, Pine and Spruce with Holly and Juniper Berries. And it has natural decorations set in the wax too. It's stunning! I have mine in the middle of our dining table and it smells gorgeous, even without being lit.

And if you love traditional spicy scents, you will fall in love with the NOEL candle*(£29.00). It combines mulling spices, Fraser fir spruce and the zest of citrus fruits. Basically what Christmas smells like! And the packaging is lovely too.

Also from Crabtree & Evelyn, we have this stunning Festive Fig Porcelain Diffuser*(£45.00). How beautiful is it? I can't get over it. Very on trend as well, as everyone's loving pineapples at the moment. The scent itself features ripe fig, damson plum, black pepper, resinous wood and winter flowers and once you put the porcelain diffuser  inside the bottle, it will start releasing the beautiful aroma slowly. It is the prettiest diffuser I have ever seen!

I love Elemental Herbology skincare, so I was very excited to try their luxury Five Element Aromatherapy Earth Candle*(£38.00). It comes beautifully packaged in an elegant gift box and the candle smells sooo relaxing. It combines fragrances of Cedarwood, Mandarin, Frankincense and Geranium, creating a perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind.

I received this WoodWick Spiced Blackberry Candle(£17.99) from my friend Joanna and I absolutely love it! It smells insanely good and it fills the full room with  a sweet and fruit aroma of blackberries within minutes. And the crackling noise from the wick adds such a nice touch.

Now onto some Scottish candles. The Isle Of Skye Candle Company offers a huge selection of scents and I was kindly sent the small Vanilla & Fig Tumbler*(£10.00) and one of the Winter Warmer Travel Candle*(£9.00) to feature in my gift guide. Budget friendly and made with natural soya wax, which is much better for you and the environment. Both candles smells beautiful!

I actually thought these San Miguel candles were readily available, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. They look and smell gorgeous though! I have Red Berry and Cinnamon here and they are part of the Emotion collection. The jars are made with recycled glass, which is fab and I also love the fact that each candle comes with a lid. EVERY candle should come with a lid. Who wants dust inside candles, right?

Now onto something a bit more refreshing. the English Heritage Citrus & Basil*(£14.99). I love this kind of scent for the kitchen, as it doesn't clash too much with whatever I am making. Also great for bathrooms. Is it just me, or do you also like fresh scents like this outside the living room? The fragrance combines aromatic citrus, grapefruit, lime and orange with basil, bay, jasmine and patchouli. LOVELY and affordable.

And if you need some really cheap stocking fillers, these little jars are under £1 each in Home Bargains! YEP! Go, go, go! Also available in big jars (Yankee Candle style).

Last but not least, the NEOM Organics Perfect Peace Candle*(£30.00). I usually burn their Christmas Wish Candle as it became a tradition in our house and I can't live without it, but Perfect Peace is lovely too. I have a soft spot for Neom, as they blend their fragrances beautifully! This one was inspired by the winter forest and the return to a cosy, festive home. It's a combination of pine and lime peel with the aromatic spice of precious myrrh. Amazing! It is different to anything else I have ever tried to be honest. You got me again NEOM, I am obsessed! Very relaxing and therapeutic scent and how stunning is the design on the glass?

Are you a candle addict too? Will you be gifting home fragrance this year? I personally love giving everyone a little candle (or a big one), as it might just make their Christmas that little bit more cosy.
