Christmas Gift Guide: Fragrance For Her

Christmas is all about gift sets and fragrances usually come in pretty special packaging during the festive season, but sometimes a standard bottle of your favourite scents adds that special something to your stocking filler. Here are some of my picks for every budget.

Let's start with my current obsession- the Charlotte Tilbury Scent Of A Dream*(£49.00). It was love at first... well... sniff :) I tried it for the first time at the Charlotte Tilbury event I attended and it stole my heart. It features 'psychoactive' notes to mimic natural pheromones, with a hint of Lemon and Bergamot and a floral heart of Jasmine, Tuberose and Frankincense. I also adore the beautiful art-deco inspired bottle, as it looks very elegant and sophisticated. The scent smells different on everyone, so give it a spritz in a CT store or order a free sample from her website to try.

A real classic and one of the most popular fragrances in the world - Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb EDP*(£69.00). It is one of my favourite scents, as I love a strong floral with a woody base. Perfection. Flowerbomb features top notes of tea and bergamot, middle notes of Sambac jasmine with a hint of orange tree, Catleya orchid, freesia and Centifolia rose and a base note of Patchouli. It is simply beautiful and the bottle is iconic.

Another Viktor & Rolf offering, but this time a much sweeter one. Bonbon*(£68.00) comes in a lovely pink bottle and there is also a limited edition Christmas design available (here) which looks even more beautiful! The fragrance itself is such a sweet treat! The main note is caramel, with added mandarin, orange and peach, a heart of orange blossom flowers and jasmine and a base of cedar, guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber. Very strong scent so you only need a little bit and it lasts very well on the skin and clothing. Same applies to Flowerbomb- very long lasting!

A more purse friendly option, by Kiko is their festive 2016 release Velvet Passion*(£33.00). Described as an Olfactory floral wood, this EDP is quite intense and sensual. The notes combine red rose petals, white wood accents and oriental agarwood.  I don't know why, but I get a strong passionfruit note in it!
Beautiful! Very reasonably priced too, as it's a 100ml bottle.

And now a really budget friendly option - Accessorize Lovelily*(£19.00). The bottle is very quirky and girly and probably aimed at teenagers, but I love it. So cute! With notes of raspberry, orange, jasmine and vanilla, it is a lovely sweet fruity floral. I can't get enough of this pretty bottle!

Now onto more niche options. I want to mention Eden Pefumes (£18.00 per 30ml), as they do amazing alternatives to standard fragrances, but vegan, cruelty free and made with natural ingredients. Pretty awesome, right? Check them out and give at least one of their scent a go and you will be hooked.

Another more natural option I adore is by Liz Earle. It's the Botanical Essence No.9.*(£49.00). If you know any Liz Earle skincare fans, they will definitely appreciate this fragrance. With notes of blackcurrant bud, bergamot, red ginger, Osmanthus, Damask rose, patchouli,  Oakmoss, Haitian vetiver and vanilla it is a very unique fragrance. And it comes in the most beautiful bottle!
