Too Faced La Creme Lipsticks

I don't own many Too Faced products, but I have always been intrigued by the brand and the two products I have tried are amazing - the Better Than Sex Mascara (review) and one of the La Creme lipsticks in Juicy Watermelon (review). When I was kindly sent the latest shades from the range, I was like a kid with new toys :) Couldn't wait to swatch them all and play around with the colours. The La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks*(£18.00) are simply stunning inside and out and I am obsessed with the formula!

The packaging is quite simple, but very elegant and luxurious with the gold coloured metal casing and gorgeous embossed brand logo. I adore gold packaging, so it's right up my street.

As you can see, most of the shades look pretty wearable, except the blue. I would normally go for a darker blue, as I am not scared of brave colours, but this one is just too hard too work with and makes me look dead. The formula of Too Faced La Creme lipsticks is very creamy, super pigmented and ultra hydrating. If you have dry lips, these will be perfect as they really do add a lot of moisture. All of the shades (except the blue) applied evenly and felt very comfortable on the lips.

From left to right, we have:
Unicorn Tears - an iridescent blue with pink shimmer
 Topless - light apricot nude
Sugar Daddy - nude rose (my favourite from the bunch)
Berry Naughty - deep berry
Double Bubble - barbie pink
Mean Girls - fuschia pink with shimmer
WHAM! - iridescent raspberry)
Ursula - very deep plum with lots of iredescent shimmer

L to R: Unicorn Tears, Topless, Sugar Daddy, Berry Naughty, Double Bubble, Mean Girls, WHAM!, Ursula.

How pretty do the colours look? Sooo, soo pigmented!

I swatched my favourite shades on my lips as well. Top left is Sugar Daddy, top right is Mean Girls, bottom left is WHAM! and bottom right is Ursula. If I had to pick two faves, I would go for Sugar Daddy and Ursula. The first option is very wearable and perfect for everyday makeup and Ursula is one of those stunning, dark shades that just look amazing, especially with the shimmer. It's like a creme version of the matte Urban Decay Alice In Wonderland lippie in shade Mirana, that I am obsessed with! I found the shimmer shades quite hard to photograph, but they look even better in real life.

I also got a chance to try the Too Faced Lip Insurance Glossy*(£14.50) and it is pretty awesome. It helps to prep the lips to ensure longer lasting wear and enhances shine. It contains anti-aging peptides to add fullness and smooth lines. You simply apply it prior to the lip colour/gloss, wait a bit to let it dry an follow with your choice of lip product. I find that it is especially good for preventing feathering and for prepping lips before dry matte formulas. I find some matte lipsticks too drying, so this helps a lot, without making the product slide, like it does when you use lip balm.

Overall, I adore the Too Faced La Creme Lipsticks and I have been wearing them a lot lately. I think I have to try some of the Too Faced Eyeshadows and bronzers, as they seem to get pretty good reviews.
