The Artist Collection by KIKO

I have been playing with the Kiko The Artist Collection* for a while now and it is simply beautiful! Most of the products are very wearable, the formulas are lovely and I am absolutely obsessed with the lipsticks!

The collection consists of great base products, blush 'waves', loose eyeshadows, creamy lippies and lip liners, stunning brushes and much more. I was kindly sent most of the bits to try out and today I am giving you the lowdown.

The lip products from the collection are my favourite pieces. I will definitely use them the most, as the colours are right up my street. I also love the packaging. Sleek and elegant and the lipstick feature a very cool mechanism, where you push the bottom of the lipstick in and it gets released with a very pleasant clicking sound. Ah, it's all about the little things in life :)

The Colour Click Lispticks* (£6.90) offer very intense colour, beautiful application and a creamy, hydrating formula. The texture is lovely and feels comfortable on the lips.

The three stunning shades above are: 03 (coral/pink), 04 (bright red) and 05 (nude/pink). The pink toned coral is my favourite and I can't stop wearing it with the matching lip liner.

The  Fine Art Lip Pencils*(£4.90) match the lipstick shades to offer a perfect colour combination and a long lasting finish. The texture of these is lovely and creamy but it stays put really well, without bleeding. I also love the triangular shape, as it helps with more precise application.

From left to right, we have shades: 03, 04 and 05.

Lipstick in shades 03, 04, 05 and lip liners in shades 03, 04 and 05.

I am wearing the lipstick in shade 03 - my favourite one!

The Blending Wave Multicolour Blushers*(£10.90) are breathtakingly beautiful, with a lovely design in the pan and very interesting textured packaging. These are seriously pigmented so they require a light hand during application. They blend easily though, so it's all good. The left one is called Expressive Biscuit (peach/brown) and the one on the right is Artistic Pink (light and fuchsia pink). Both are simply stunning!

How cool is the packaging?

The velvety, almost creamy texture of the finely milled powder is a dream to work with.

On the left, we have swatches of Expressive Biscuit, followed by Artistic Pink. You can use the colours separately or mix them together for a custom colour.

The Artist Powder Face Brush*(£13.90) is such a beauty! It's cruelty free and feels very luxurious, as the bristles are super soft and cut to perfection. The rounded shape offers more control during application and the design is simple and elegant. There are two other brushes available in the collection: a foundation brush and an dual ended eye brush.

I didn't know what to expect from the Blooming-Glow-Revitalizing-Face-Serum* (£13.90), but it is sooo good! It feels super hydrating, soothing and it subtly evens out the skintone and adds luminosity. It contains vitamin PP, A and E microspheres  and like all KIKO products - it's dermatologically tested, non-comedogenic and paraben free.

These little spheres always fascinate me.

Another hidden gem - the Glacial Light Soft Sifter Foundation*(£12.90). A colour-perfecting brightening foundation for a radiant, even complexion, enriched with glacial water that feels super hydrating as soon as you apply it - kind of magical actually and very, very pleasant. It offers medium coverage, but you can easily build it up. The texture is just lovely and blends beautifully, creating a skin-like finish.

. The packaging is very interesting, featuring a mesh dispenser, which makes getting the right amount of product super easy.

I am not a fan of loose eye shadows, as I find them very messy, but these come with mesh dispensers, so it's not too bad. The Artist Stroke Mineral Loose Eyeshadow*(£6.90) comes in 6 shades, all enriched with the dust of precious stones. Fancy! The pigmentation is ok if applied dry, but great applied with a wet brush. I love the soft, silky texture of these. I have Talent Gold and Skill Blue.

Applied dry.

I didn't get on with the Signature Eye Marker*(£6.90) as I love a flicked line and I struggled to do it with the rounded 'spatula tip' which is meant to trace the outer eye area, leaving a precise stroke that can be adjusted to achieve the desired thickness. I would give it a miss, but if you think it's for you, just check it out instore.

The Glowing Pearl Cushion Highlighter*(£8.90) is a very subtle, natural looking highlight with a gorgeous pearly sheen. It is water based, so it doesn't sit on top of the skin and it looks like a glow from within. So lovely! I don't like the applicator though. It comes in two shades Virtuous Gold and Dynamic Coral.

Overall, it's a lovely collection and most of the products are absolutely amazing, especially considering the affordable price tag. I would definitely recommend popping into a Kiko store to have a look, so you can decide for yourself and pick the right shades.

Available at www.kikocosmetics.com and in Kiko stores.
