Skin treatment candles

I very rarely have time to relax these days, as the kids are keeping me extra busy, but I found one thing that makes me feel like I just escaped to a SPA for a few minutes and it's a good skin treatment/massage candle. I have a couple in my collection and today I want to tell you more about them.

First, we have the beautiful Neom Organics Tranquillity Intensive Skin Treatment Candle* (£36.00). Neom is my favourite candle brand, as I really appreciate the quality of their candles. They are safe for me and the kids and made beautifully in Britain with the best ingredients. Tranquillity is one of my most used Neom scents and it really helps me to get a better sleep thanks to it's unique fragrance. The fragrance is a mixture of 19 pure essential oils including English lavender, sweet basil and jasmine and it is sooo, sooo relaxing. It makes me feel calm and peaceful.

Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous, luxury packaging? The little gold accent makes it a small masterpiece, making it an amazing gift for any occasion.

The Intensive Skin Treatment Candle is ideal for dry and stressed skin, which is perfect for me, as my elbows and hands are super dry for some reason. I like lighting this stunning candle in the evening, even for just 30 minutes to unwind and massage my hands and arms. That's the beauty of treatment candles - you can enjoy the scent, but also treat your skin to extra nourishment. This blend is super kind to skin and I can't get enough of it.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
You might wonder how treatment candles work. Well... it's pretty simple. You light your candle for approx. 30 minutes allowing it to form a pool of oil. I usually wait for it to melt right till the edges to ensure an even burn. To get the oil out, you have to blow out the candle and allow the oil to cool for 2 minutes. I personally tried pouring the oil out with the candle still lit as well and it was fine.

You then drizzle the warm oil over the chosen part/s of your body and enjoy the treatment. I love using it on my hands and arms, focusing on my elbows.

Please don't do this with normal candles! They are not meant to be used on skin. Treatment candles are  specially formulated to melt at a lower temperature to be safe for your skin.

Next, we have the Oskia Rose De Mai Massage, Body Oil & Treatment Candle* (£36.00). Another lovely design and the scent is to die for too, unless you don't like roses. I adore it! The candle is a blend of soya & coconut oil, beeswax and Rose De Mai. Packed with skin smoothing omegas, vitamins and minerals, it leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished. Apparently the oil can be used on your face as well, but I am not sure if I would go that far. I just stick to using it on my body, as a relaxing treatment. So luxurious! I also love the packaging - simple and elegant.

In also have two little Marie Reynolds candles in my stash, but I don't think they are available anymore, so I won't be including them.

Have you tried skin treatment candles? I absolutely love them and I can't recommend the NEOM and OSKIA ones enough. The Neom candle is also available in their popular Real Luxury scent, which is also one of my all time favourites.
