Christmas Gift Guide 2015: Home Fragrance/Candles

Part 3 of my Christmas gift guides is all about home fragrance. From beautifully scented candles to gift sets and stunning diffusers. I included a selection of festive blends and some other options too.

Yankee Candles are possibly the most popular choice for most people I know. Some consider them 'high end', but I personally prefer more natural blends of wax, without paraffin. I still buy the big YC jars though and burn them occasionally, because their selection of scents is amazing! For Christmas, I recommend Sparkling Cinnamon, Christmas Cookie and the one pictured above - Sparkling Snow. The large jars burn for 100-150h.

If you want your house to smell like a real Christmas tree,  the Crabtree & Evelyn Three Wick Windsor Forest Home Fragrance Candle*(£38.00) is just incredible. With a burn time of approx. 60 hours and a beautiful scent of fir needle, spruce, pine , holly and juniper berries, it will make you feel like you're in a forest. Very strong fragrance, but it's sooo lovely!

And if candles aren't your thing, a quick spray of the Noël Home Fragrance Spray* (£12.00) will do the trick. Christmas in a bottle! Noel is a blend of fresh balsams, persimmon and citrus, spicy star anise, clove and nutmeg. Beautiful!

This beaut would be ideal for men, as it is quite masculine. Combining the warmth of cloves, rosewood, eucalyptus, cinnamon, black amber, rich spices and tangy orange zest it will fill your house with the most luxurious scent. Rathbornes candles are hand poured in Dublin using traditional methods and a special beeswax blend, mixed with premium essential oils.

I love massage candles, but this one must be my favourite. Fragranced with rose and packed with skin-smoothing vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids it would make an amazing gift for any candle and skincare addict, or even your partner (ideal massage hint, haha). The candle melts at a lower temperature than normal wax and the blend helps to nourish, soften and hydrate the skin. Absolutely beautiful!

And for Ted Baker fans, I would highly recommend the beautifully designed Ted Baker Athens Reed Diffuser*(£35.00) or Athens Candle*(£28.00). The fragrance was inspired by the rich history and mythology of Athens and it features notes of olive blossom and Greek fig. If you want to impress someone with a nice looking candle or diffuser in packaging that can be easily reused, these two are perfect.

I mentioned Neom's Christmas gifts in a separate blog post here, but they deserve another mention. Both the Christmas Wish 3 wick candle* (£49.95) and Christmas Wish Home Collection feature my favourite festive scent - Christmas Wish. It is such a lovely fragrance - a mixture of mandarin, cinnamon and tonka bean. Can't recommend it enough.

What is your favourite candle brand or your favourite Christmas scent?
