Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Review & Swatches

It's finally time to tell you what I think of the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette* (£38.00). It has been one of the biggest makeup launches (if not the biggest) of the year and everyone seems to be obsessed with it. It sold out in the US within minutes after the launch and it took the UK by storm too! Crazy, right? Well, that's what happens when UD releases a new Naked palette :)

Let's get straight to the point - the palette is AMAZING! It's Urban Decay eyeshadows we're talking about after all - they are insanely good! The formula features Urban Decay's unique Pigment Infusion System, making the shadows super pigmented, almost buttery in consistency and long lasting. Minimal fallout and a dream to blend too. If you've tried UD shadows before, you will know what I mean. I also adore the packaging and I think it's the best from all the Naked palettes released so far. Just look at it - beautiful!

The SMOKY palette is loaded with stunning neutrals, including nine never-before-seen shades and three exclusives from past palettes. There is a mixture of different finishes: from mattes to satins and metallics. All absolutely stunning! The palette comes with a double-ended brush as well - one end for blending, one for smudging.

The 12 shades from left to right:

High (cream shimmer w/micro-glitter)
Dirtysweet (medium bronze)
Radar (metallic taupe w/iridescent micro-glitter)
Armor (metallic silver-taupe w/tonal sparkle)
Slanted (light metallic gray)
Dagger (medium charcoal w/micro-shimmer)
Black Market (jet-black satin)
Smolder (deep plum-taupe)
Password (cool taupe matte)
Whiskey (rich brown matte)
Combust (soft pink-taupe)
Thirteen (light beige satin)

I am in love with this palette and I have been using it every time I got a chance to do my makeup. Not as often as I would like to, as I am super busy with Mia, but I am hoping to get more use out of it soon, as all the shades are beautiful and a dream to apply! Now here's hoping UD continues with this type of packaging for future palettes.

Available from feelunique, Debenhams, Selfridges and other stockists.
