Freedom Makeup

There is a new budget makeup brand on the market - Freedom Makeup London. The packaging might look similar to you. It's because it was created by the team behind Makeup Revolution.  I was kindly sent a selection of products to try out by Beauty Crowd, who are Freedom's stockists and I have a first impressions post to share with you today :)

This beautiful palette did not disappoint! The formula is just as good as what I am used to with Makeup Revolution - super pigmented, almost buttery, long lasting and awesome in general! The selection of shades is ideal for neutral lovers and the price is just too good! 20 shades for £6.00? Yes, please!

Perfect little kit for medium and dark brows, complete with 3 powders, a wax, mini tweezers and an angled brush.

You can't go wrong with a £1 lipstick, right? This one is in a shade 119 Adorn and it is a nicely pigmented vampy pink/purple. The formula feels comfortable on the lips and lasts well too (3-4 hours). I am assuming that lighter shades won't last as long though.

I can't find this product on the website, but it's a lipgloss in shade 101. I must admit - I am not a fan of it at all. It's just a bit 'meh' and lacks pigmentation when applied onto the lips.

I became quite fussy with mascaras and it takes a lot to wow me in the lash department. This one is ok and adds a bit of volume, but I find the formula quite hard to work with. Maybe it has to dry up a bit to work better. Some mascaras need time :)

I am pleasantly surprised with this foundation. It gives decent coverage and mattifies my t-zone. I think that those with oily skin will love it! Shade 04 is  too light for my skin tone, but I can get away with using it in the centre of my face, which is exactly where I need oil and shine control :) At £2.00, I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

I don't use powder every day, but I really needed it when it was hot and sunny. A light sweep of this on my t-zone and I am good to go. It also adds a bit of coverage which is good for quick touch-ups during the day. Not too cakey or heavy either.

Left to Right: Pro Lipstick 119, Lipgloss 101 Love, Pro-Matte Foundation 04, Pressed Powder 102 Fair.

As always, there are some hits and misses, but I would definitely recommend trying the eyeshadows, lipsticks and the pro-matte foundation. The cheek products look lovely too, especially the leopard print ones. Too cute!
