Crownbrush Liquid Highlighters

I rave about Crownbrush Highlighters* a lot, but I haven't actually reviewed them properly on the blog. Not sure why, because I am absolutely obsessed with them!!! There are two shades available, but one of them became my Holy Grail and made me neglect my beloved theBalm Mary Lou Manizer :)

Crownbrush Highlighters come in 40ml bottles (with a pump), so you get a lot of product for your money. They feature a liquid formula and are very easy to work with. I like applying them with my fingers, a small brush like the Real Techniques duo-fiber contour brush or with a beauty blender.

At first, the highlighters look very metallic, but they blend out beautifully and look natural on the skin ( I am wearing the gold one the photo below). Shade FK140 is an opalescent pink - ideal for lighter skin tones and shade FK165 is a warm gold - perfect for olive, tanned and darker skin tones. I like both, but the gold version is my favourite, as it goes nicely with my complexion, especially when I am tanned. It's simply stunning!

There is no visible shimmer/glitter and the effect on the skin can be as subtle or as strong as you want it to be. I personally like blending the highlighters into the skin for a natural looking glow, but you can add an extra layer for a dramatic highlight. These look lovely both ways, not like an 'obvious highlight'. When I was trying to explain it to my sister, I said that it looks like you are just radiant from within, simply glowing, but people won't necessarily think that you are wearing a lot of highlighter. They will wonder if it's just your natural glow or a product you used. The best kind of look!

You can also use these as an illuminating base (mixed with your moisturiser) or mix with your foundation or bb cream to add extra radiance. My favourite way to use the highlighters is to simply dab them onto the tops of my cheekbones and cupids bow, but I also add a drop or two to my foundation when my skin looks a bit dull.

I can't rave about these enough and I recommend them to everyone. Such beautiful products! You get 40ml for £17.99, which is great value for money and believe me when I say, that you won't be disappointed.

You can buy the highlighters from www.crownbrush.co.uk
