September Favourites

I haven't been blogging daily lately (real life getting in the way, toddler tantrums etc), but I couldn't wait to share my September favourites with you! From gorgeous cream eyeshadows, to skincare recommendations for acne prone and dehydrated skin - there is something for everyone.

My go to blush combo at the moment is the new Benefit Majorette Booster Blush*(£23.50) and Benefit Rockateur*(£23.50). Majorette has the most beautiful cream to powder formula that looks very natural on the skin and works really well as a base for powder blushers. If you like peachy cheeks, you need Majorette in your life. Rockateur is a blush and highlight in one and it is a pretty coral shade. I love wearing them together though - so pretty!

I have also been obsessed with Clarins Ombre Matte Eyeshadows*. I use them on their own, or under powder formulas to prolong wear. They are super easy to use and stay put all day, without creasing or fading. Stunning! My favourite shades are Sparkly Grey and Rosewood.

I have to mention the Illamasqua Vintage Metallix Cream Eyeshadow* as well, because I have been reaching for it a lot in September. The formula is a cream/gel and it is a dream to apply. PS. It is totally smudge proof and stays on the lids until you remove it at night (or the morning after)!

I almost forgot about the beautiful No7 Instant Radiance Bronzing Highlighter*(£9.95). It's such a lovely product! It's a cream highlighter with subtle golden shimmer and it looks amazing on tanned skin.

I am loving nude lips at the moment and I have three lip products I want to recommend. The first one is Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Deauville*. Check out my full review (here), if you want to see it on the lips. I am in love!

The second product I have been loving lately is Bourjois Rouge Edition 12h Lipstick in Beige Shooting* (£7.99). Oh my... It is the perfect matte nude! Read my full review here.

The last option is Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Colour in Pink Nude* (£19.50). Bobbi Brown released four new nude shades in the matte collection and the pink one is my favourite. Who doesn't love a pink nude lipstick, right? I think that they suit everyone. The formula feels comfortable on the lips, doesn't accentuate dry patches and stays put for over 6 hours! I will be reviewing all four shades soon.

I was kindly sent the Urban Decay Naked Palette* (£37.00) by HOF during their Beauty Confidential Event and I couldn't be happier to have it back in my life (I sold my old one). The shades are perfect for Autumn and go perfectly with my brown eyes and my skin tone. Urban Decay do the best eyeshadows on the market and the formula is buttery soft, super pigmented and long lasting.

Another palette I used quite a lot in September is my custom Inglot Palette. I have been reaching for the neutral colours and the cranberry shade (MAC Cranberry dupe).

I had  a little skincare shake-up after my holiday and the products I am about to mention helped to combat blemishes and dehydration. After removing my makeup with DHC Cleansing Oil, I have been using Claudia Louch Botanical Cleansing Lotion* (£37.40). It's gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling clean and fresh. It works really well with cleansing brushes as well. It contains chamomile, aloe, cucumber and Japanese green tea.

I was planning to use the La Roche-Posay Effaclar 3-Step Anti-Blemish System*(£32.50), but the cleanser was too harsh for me, so I stopped using it and continued with the Effaclar Clarifying Toner* and  Effaclar Duo+*. The toner is simply amazing and gently exfoliates the skin (with lactic and salicylic acids) and soothes irritation (with zinc). I hope La Roche-Posay start selling it separately soon. I would definitely repurchase it. Effaclar Duo+ is a product I adore and my skin loves it. It makes a big difference to my acne-prone skin and helps to heal blemishes quicker and gets rid of all the annoying bumps under the skin.

I cannot stand patches of dry, flaky skin, so exfoliators are my best friend. Nourish Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser* (£16.50) is a 3in1 treatment and  works as a cleanser, mask and exfoliator. It contains pomegranate enzymes to gently exfoliate and reveal a smoother complexion while organic kale extract leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. I am impressed.

To combat dehydration, I have been applying Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum* on top of Hydraluron. Dream team! If you are looking for something light, but very hydrating, you will love Aqualia. It's a 'concentrate of fortifying, soothing and moisturising care' and it provides instant and long-term hydration. It is also great for soothing and cooling irritated skin. One pump is enough for the full face, but I only use half a pump on dry areas of my face.
