Guest Post: Top 5 MAC Lipsticks/ More Than Adored

First off I would like to say a huge thank you to Sandra! I’ve been reading TBPB since before I started my own blog so it’s such an honor to be doing a guest post over here!

I’ve never shared my favourite Mac lipsticks over on More Than Adored which is strange because Mac lipsticks are my favourite lipsticks to buy. I admit most of my collection is made up of limited edition offerings (I’m such a sucker) but there these are my top five picks from the permanent line.

My most unexpected love from Mac has been Sweetie. I purchased this online after seeing lots of swatches I admit I wasn’t 100% sold but I wanted to try a lipstick I hadn’t heard too much about. Sweeties is a lustre finish so it’s really comfortable to wear and leaves a lovely glossy appearance to the lips. Don’t be fooled by the shimmer you can see in the bullet! It’s gorgeous on the lips.

Next up is my most worn of the moment and it’s Diva. It’s currently just coming out of winter into spring here in Australia so I’ve been loving wearing this shade with a big chunky scarf and lots of mascara. It’s a gorgeous deep red/burgundy shade that looks gorgeous on. This is matte finish but compared to other matte lippies from Mac it’s doesn’t drag on the lips and is quite easy to apply. The longevity of this lipstick is amazing, matte finishes are my favourite from Mac so I adore this one.

My most worn lipstick of all time is Crème Cup. This is an amazing neutral pink shade that is my kind of nude. It’s a crème sheen finish which means it’s super comfortable on the lips and wears away quite evenly. This is the lipstick I turn too when I don’t really know what to wear. If you’re blonde this will look amazing on you.

A couple of years ago Mac’s Rebel was the talk of the blogging/Youtube community and it was one of those shades I had to have. This was my first ever Mac lipstick purchase and I wore it to death that first year of owning it. I haven’t wore it much since but it still holds a very special place in my top 5 because I do love the subtle yet bright purple tones it gives. It is a Satin finish, which is my least favourite from Mac, but it’s really pigmented and easy to apply.

The last lipstick I’m going to talk about is Ruby Woo. A cool-toned red shade that looks incredible once applied on the lips. It’s matte finish, as I mentioned before that’s my favourite, but this is the worst lipstick to apply. It pulls on the lips and is almost impossible to apply directly from the bullet. Once applied, this lasts all night without fail and looks stunning so it is really worth the pain of applying it! What are your favourite mac lipsticks?
