New bedroom bits and decor refresh

I get bored of my home decor easily and I like changing things quite often. From a big selection of bedding to new throws and bits and bobs for the home, I spend too much time and money on it... Oooops... That's why I decided to finally say goodbye to the stripy wallpaper we had in the master bedroom (see it in THIS post) and change it to something more neutral.

After hours of peeling the wallpaper off (it wasn't our choice, it was here, when we moved in), I was happy to find a smooth, cool toned mint green wall underneath! I am planning to paint it light grey, but it actually looks lovely at the moment, so I will take my time picking the right shade of paint. We are also considering getting a textured grey wallpaper, but I am not sure yet :)

To make the room even brighter, I opted for a white Polycotton Percale  Kingsize Duvet Cover Set* (£21.99).  I love white bedding, as it gives me a blank canvas and I can basically add any colour to it to change the decor slightly without breaking the bank. I am in love with the quality of the new set, as it feels very luxurious and 'hotel-like'. You can buy it from www.yorkshirelinen.com and it is currently on sale. They also stock many other colours and designs.

I also made this little cushion cover with a stripy bit of fabric I bought ages ago. The same one I used to make the three framed canvas I had above the headboard. They are now on the bedside tables, as I was worried that they might fall on my head while I am sleeping :) haha. The frames are from Ikea and I got the fabric on ebay. The fluffy grey cushion covers are from BM Stores (same as the last time).

I also picked up a bright yellow knitted throw from TKmaxx to add a pop of colour. The grey one is from Ikea.

Another gorgeous Ikea find - the yellow lantern. It was only £2.00! So pretty!

Nothing beats a bouquet of fresh lilies. I adore flowers and I would have a bunch in every room, if I could :) I keep all my bedtime essentials in a wooden heart shaped tray I got from Zalando. It is not available anymore, but I found a similar (might be the same) one HERE with free p&p.

The rest of the room didn't change, so have a look at my Yellow, Grey and White Bedroom Decor Post to see where all the furniture is from etc.

Do you think I should keep the main wall mint green, paint it white, light grey, or maybe get light grey textured wallpaper to make it more interesting, but neutral?
Let me know what you think.
