Clarins #YouOnlyBetter Makeup Looks

When it comes to high end makeup, Clarins are definitely my favourite brand. I absolutely adore their products, so I couldn't be more excited about sharing this post with you. I took part in the #YouOnlyBetter campaign and recreated three of the simple makeup looks, featuring Clarins core line of products. There is no need for brushes or other tools and the video tutorials make things even easier.

What I love about Clarins makeup the most is the fact that all their products have skincare benefits as well. The bases feature anti-ageing benefits, the lip products are highly hydrating and the mascara conditions your lashes and makes them grow!

The 5 Minute Uplifting  Look

This look is definitely my go to on lazy days, or when I am going shopping etc. It is a quick, easy option, using only 4 products and you simply can't go wrong with it.

Step 1: Apply Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream SPF25 using your fingertips, working from the middle of your face outwards.

Step 2: Using your fingertips, apply the Clarins Multi-Blush to the apples of your cheeks, blending it up to the temples.

Step 3: Apply Clarins Be Long Mascara to open up the eye and make you look more awake. The formula features a growth-boosting complex and helps your lashes grow 1.1mm in 4 weeks as well,. Fantastic!

Step 4: Add a little bit of colour and shine to your lips with one of the fabulous Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors. They feel very moisturising and give a plumping effect.

MY LOOK:
Left eye without mascara, right eye with one coat of Clarins Be Long. The difference is amazing!

10 Minute Perfecting Look

I would wear this look when I want to look less tired and more awake, possibly when I am visiting family or going out for dinner during the day or to work. It's a simple, natural look and you will need 8 products to recreate it.

Step 1: Use Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base to add radiance to the skin and smooth any imperfections. I absolutely adore this product!

Step 2: Apply Clarins BB Cream allover your face.

Step 3: Warm Clarins Instant Concealer with your fingertips and pat it under your eyes to brighten and diminish dark circles. I also used it in the centre of my nose, forehead and chin to brighten my face.

Step 4:  Apply Clarins Imbre Minerale Eye Shadow allover your eyelids, softly blending it outwards for a very subtle smokey effect.

Step 5: Follow with the Clarins Crayon Khol Eyeliner Pencil, using it on your top (and bottom, if you like) lashline, blending it with the brush tip.

Step 6:  Apply a coat (or two) of the Clarins Be Long Mascara as the last step of your eye makeup look.

Step 7: Use the cream blush to add some colour to your cheeks.

Step 8: Apply Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector to your lips.

MY LOOK:

15 MINUTE FLAWLESS LOOK

With only 10 products in total, this makeup look is ideal when you want to look your best, but you don't have a lot of time to get ready. I wear this kind of makeup quite often. I didn't have two of the products recommended for this look, but I used other Clarins alternatives from my collection to achieve a similar result.

Step 1: Use Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch to prime your skin. I applied it allover my face, but you can just focus on the areas where pores and wrinkles are visible. This products makes a massive difference to my skin and makes it look/feel much smoother.

Step 2: Instead of the Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation SPF10 (which I fantastic btw), I used the Extra-Comfort Foundation SPF15. It is a richer formula but it gives a similar effect. You can easily apply it with your fingers, no need for brushes.

Step 3: Highlight with Clarins Instant Light Brush-On Perfector. I use it in the centre of my nose, forehead, chin, cupids bow and tops of my cheekbones. It is a light formula and it looks very natural.

Step 4: Apply Instant Concealer under your eyes for extra coverage.

Step 5: Use the cream blush on your cheeks.

Step 6: Apply Clarins Ombre Minerale Eye Shadow allover your eyelids, this time making it a little bit more intense and smoky.

Step 7: Use Clarins Crayon Khol Eyeliner Pencil along the bottom lashline.

Step 8:  Draw a thin line along the top lash line with the Clarins 3-Dot Liner. I went for a little flick as well. This little pen is very easy to use, even for liner newbies.

Step 9: Apply Clarins Be Long Mascara to your top and bottom lashes.

Step 10: The video features the beautiful Clarins Pro Palette Eyebrow Kit, but I used Clarins Eyebrow Pencil to fill in my brows. You can go for a natural look with the palette or a strong brow with a pencil, depending on your preferences.

Step 9: Use Clarins Rouge Eclat Lisptick to make your lips stand out. I don't own one of these, but I used the new Clarins Lip Balm Crayon in shade 05 Delicious Plum. It is such a stunning shade. I can't recommend it enough.

MY LOOK:

You can see all the looks I created below. The last one is definitely my favourite, with flawless skin, black liner, strong brows and darker lips. The first two are lovely too and made me realise that sometimes I can simply skip my brows and still look presentable :)

Which one out of the three looks is your favourite?  Are you familiar with any of the Clarins products featured in this post?
