Everyday Makeup Look / The Face Of Fragrance Direct Entry

I very rarely enter blogger competitions, but I couldn't possibly ignore this one :) 'The Face Of Fragrance Direct Competition' is hosted by Fragrance Direct (one of my favourite online shopping destinations) and The Sunday Girl (one of my favourite beauty bloggers), so it would be rude not to take part :) I wasn't sure what type of entry I should go for, but I thought that showing you my 'Everyday Makeup Look' in a form of a step by step tutorial would be perfect. Let me know what you think :)

STEP 1: I prepped my skin with SPF 50 and followed with Maybelline Instant Anti Age Retexturising Primer (Fragrance Direct, £6.85). I love this primer, as it makes my skin feel super smooth and reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores.

STEP 2: I applied Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (Superdrug, £10.99) allover my face and blended it with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

STEP 3: I used Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer (Boots, £7.99) under my eyes to reduce the appearance of dark circles and to conceal any imperfections on the rest of my face.

STEP 4: To contour and add a bit of colour to my face, I used the darkest shade from Crownbrush 10 Colour Concealer Palette* (£16.99).

STEP 5: I set the base with another Bourjois gem - the Java Powder* (Boots, £9.99). It gives a similar effect to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, but it is almost 4 times cheaper! Amazing!

STEP 6: On my cheeks, I used the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Blush* in shade Honey (Fragrance Direct, £5.50). It is one of my favourite blushers and it is an absolute bargain!

STEP 7:  To highlight my cheek bones, I applied a little bit of my Topshop Sunbeam Highlighter (£10.00) and blended it with my finger. I think it is sold out, but I was lucky to get it in a blog sale.

STEP 8: I usually go for golden hues on my eyes and this time I gave the Makeup Revolution What You Waiting For Palette* (£6.00) a go. The colour payoff is amazing and the formula lasts on my eyes all day! I applied shade 'Scary Conversation' allover the lid, added 'We Love You' in the inner corners and under the brow bone and followed with 'Brand New Fans' in the crease and along the bottom lash line.  I blended everything out with Zoeva 228 Crease Brush.

STEP 9: To define my brows, I used a Fragrance Direct Bargain - Une Brow Pencil (£1.99).

STEP 10: To make my eyes appear bigger and brighter, I applied Une Skin Glow Pencil (£1.99) to my waterline.

STEP 11: I curled my lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers (£20.00) and applied one coat of Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara* (£9.99). It is sooooo good!

PS. I realise that the photo on the left looks a bit scary, haha :)

STEP 12: My current go to lip product is Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti (£7.99) and I think it's a perfect Summer lip colour. It feels very moisturising and it is super easy to apply.

ET VOILA! My finished look. It took me about 10 minutes and it is very, very simple :)

I really enjoyed preparing this entry and I hope you found this step by step guide useful. There is still time to enter 'The Face Of Fragrance Direct Competition' so make sure to check out all the details on their website and if you want to see what other bloggers came up with, have a look at the #thefaceofFD hashtag on Twitter and Instagram.

Wish me luck :)
