Purple/Pink Overload With Makeup Revolution

I love purple and pink hues in my makeup and sometimes I actually wear purple/lilac lipsticks in public. Obviously there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I know that it is still considered a little bit extravagant (especially during a walk in the park with my toddler, haha). Anyway... Here is a makeup look I created with some very affordable Makeup Revolution gems along with quick reviews of some of their eye shadows and lip products.

Mono Eye Shadows* in shades Rave All Night! and  Blow Your Whistle (£1.00 each)

The formula of these is surprisingly good for the price and the pigmentation is ok too. They are slightly harder to blend than UD's or TheBalm's matte offerings, but for £1.00 I can't really complain. They last on the lids for 10-12 hours.

Makeup Revolution Lipsticks* in shades Crime & Depraved (£1.00 each)

Considering the price tag of these, they are fantastic! The formula glides on like a dream and feels very moisturising and the pigmentation is insane! My lips are quite dry at the moment, but as you can see on the lip swatches below, the pink looks stunning on and the purple looks pretty good too (except the little patch in the middle) and they don't really accentuate the dryness.

Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer 'Keep Lying For You' £3.00

I adore Lime Crime Velvetines, but I can't possibly afford them all, so I am always on the lookout for cheaper alternatives. This baby stays put all day, unless you start rubbing it off with your fingers. It also feels very comfortable on the lips. I am slightly obsessed with it!

Lips: Makeup Revolution Velvet Lip Lacquer in shade Keep Lying For You

Eyes: Makeup Revolution Mono Eyeshadow in Rave All Night in the crease, blended out with MAC 217 brush and a little bit of MAC Nylon allover the lid and under the brow bone.

Brows: MAC Espresso

Do you like using pink & purple shades on your lips and eyes? I normally go for neutrals, but I like to experiment with more vibrant colours sometimes.
