NYR's 10th Anniversary Edition Wild Rose Beauty Balm

To celebrate the 10th birthday of NYR's Wild Rose Beauty Balm, the brand released a gorgeous limited edition jar adorned with a design created by a British artist Alice Shields. With pink accents and floral detail, it is right up my alley. I actually reviewed the Wild Rose Beauty Balm ages ago (here) and I noticed that the older I get, the more I love it. It is an absolute miracle worker and has many purposes.

When I first tried it back in 2012, I was worried that it might be too thick and greasy as a cleanser, but as soon as I massaged it into my face, I fell in love with the formula. The thick balm turns into a rich oil and it is perfect for dehydrated skin. It is enriched with wild rosehip oil to help repair, firm and smooth the skin and geranium, starflower, hemp and rosemary oil to decongest and restore radiance. It can be used with a muslin cloth or a flannel. The subtle rose scent is very pleasant and not too overpowering.

The list of uses for the cult Wild Rose Beauty Balm is never ending:

-it works as a rich balm/oil cleanser and makeup remover
-it gently exfoliates the skin (used with a muslin cloth)
-a thick layer of the balm works as a nourishing, hydrating face mask
-if you suffer with dry knees and elbows, it will sort them out in no time
-it's a rescue balm for cuts, bruises and sunburn
-your cuticles and lips will love it too!

I only have one complaint. The little sign on the jar says that it should be used up within 3 months from opening, which isn't great, but... my last jar was perfectly fine for over 6 months. I am not sure if all the ingredients in it were still active though. What do you think? I just used it up, because it is too precious :) haha
