Kiko Life In Rio Collection Summer 2014

Kiko are right on point with their limited edition collections and their new 'Life In Rio' launches are no different. There is plenty of stunning products to choose from, including  cream & powder foundations, baked bronzers & blushers, BB creams, shimmering body oils, lipsticks, liners, dual ended pencils, nail polishes and a a face brush duo. The compacts feature beautiful, colourful designs and the selection of shades and formulas is very summer appropriate.

As you can see, the outer packaging of Kiko's Life In Rio range is very vibrant and it screams summer.

My favourite product from the selection I was kindly sent is the Creamy Touch Eyeshadow Duo* (£9.90). The formula of the pencil is soft and creamy and applies like a dream. I have never tried such a velvety texture in a pencil form. It is incredible and easy to blend. My combo (101 Brown & Shell) consists of two matte colours, perfect for a subtle brown and nude smokey eye or for adding a little bit of definition to the crease. I am obsessed with it and I have been using it every day since it  arrived in the post. You can see the look I created with it below, it literally took me 30 seconds and the effect lasted all day, without creasing or fading! Fantastic! Thank you Kiko for bringing out the most incredible cream shadow duo ever! There are 6 colour combinations too choose from, but 101 is THE ONE! I can't recommend it enough.

I am a big fan of Kiko lipsticks and the new limited edition Exotic Shine Lipstick* (£8.50) ticks all the boxes. Stunning gold packaging, a hydrating formula that simply glides onto the lips, beautiful colours and good lasting power. There are 6 shades available, including nudes, corals, pinks and reds.

I like using powder foundations as setting powders, to add extra coverage when I really need it. The new Kiko Sunproof Powder Foundation SPF 15* (£14.90) is perfect for this purpose and comes with an added benefit of spf 15. It is lightweight and gives light to medium coverage with a natural looking matte finish. It can be used dry or with a damp sponge, depending on the effect you want to achieve. I will definitely use it during my summer holidays, since it claims to be totally waterproof.  Available in three shades.

I love a bit of colour on my eyelids and I have  a soft spot for liquid liners. What's different about the Kiko Tropical Waterproof Liner? It is nearly impossible to take off. I had to triple cleanse with oil cleansers to dissolve my eye makeup and I still had a little bit of blue stuck in between my lashes the next day. At least they weren't lying about the formula being waterproof, eh? :) The colour is absolutely stunning, vibrant and super pigmented and I love how it looks paired with one coat of mascara. Perfect for holidays and festivals. I might invest in the brown shade, because I want to wear a little bit of makeup on the beach in July, without worrying about smudging and fading.
