Benefit Big Easy

Benefit Big Easy* (£27.50, 35ml)

I am all about a flawless, but natural looking base and BIG EASY gives me just that, plus many extra benefits. It is described as a 'multi-balancing complexion perfector' and offers light to medium coverage. Designed for oily and combination skin, Big Easy is an oil free wonder with a unique liquid to powder formula and it gets a big thumbs up from me.

First of all, you should known that this product is a 'no, no' for dry skin. It will accentuate dry patches and make you look horrible. Sorry :( If you have normal, combination or oily skin though... It's a totally different story. Big Easy balances moisture & controls oil, leaving your skin velvety smooth and shine free! The formula features soothing and skin comforting ingredients, plus broad spectrum SPF35, making it perfect for Spring/Summer. The liquid-to- powder formula melts into the skin and it is a dream to apply. It feels really velvety and transforms into a silky powdery consistency under your fingertips. It's strange, but absolutely genius!

Just like I said in the first paragraph, Big Easy gives light/medium natural looking coverage with a matte finish. It also feels very lightweight and doesn't look cakey. On top of that, it evens out skin tone and small imperfections, reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines. The formula is non-comedogenic, so it won't block your pores and cause breakouts. I find it perfect as my everyday makeup pick, when I don't want to risk aggravating any existing blemishes etc. Speaking of blemishes, if you need more coverage, you simply pat some more product onto the problem area (or your favourite concealer) and you are done :) You don't have to use a powder on top, but I love my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders too much and use them to create a more glowy finish.

I was kindly sent three shades to try out: Light/Medium, Medium and Beige and the first two suit me perfectly (I am NC20-25 in MAC). There must be some truth in the 'adjusts on skin to your exact shade' claim. The darkest shade is slightly too dark, but perfect when I have fake tan on.

TIP: With the liquid to powder formula, you MUST moisturise your skin really well to get the best results. This way you will achieve a really flawless finish.

LEFT TO RIGHT: LIGHT/MEDIUM, MEDIUM, BEIGE

Overall, I am really impressed with Big Easy and it works really well with my combination skin. It gives a perfect amount of coverage, controls oil and comes with high SPF. Big Easy is available in 6 shades and you can buy it directly from Benefit and Benefit counters, Debenhams, Boots and other stockists.
