Serozinc Review (and UK stockist)

Serozinc has been on my radar for quite a long time, but we all know how difficult it is to buy in the UK. Most people get it on ebay, but you can now order it from www.farmaline.co.uk. They are an online pharmacy and deliver the goods to your door within 48h. I would recommend getting 2 bottles or placing a bigger order to make it worth the money or maybe ask a friend, if they want to split the cost of postage (£5.95). If you like French skincare, you will be able to fill your basket  really quickly and if you spend £75 - delivery cost is free. Anyway... I have been using Serozinc for the past 3-4 weeks and I am finally ready to share my opinion.

La Roche Posay Serozinc* 150ml, £8.08

This mysterious spray is meant to purify and soothe skin's redness and irritation. It contains three ingredients: Water, Sodium Chloride and Zinc Sulfate and comes out as a very fine, refreshing mist. I really wanted to try it, because I remember using Zinc creams (prescribed by my GP) as a teenager on any spots and redness and they really helped. Serozinc can be used on your face and body to soothe irritation and even on razor burn and nappy rash.

For someone who gets sore, hormonal breakouts regularly and suffers allergic reactions to makeup, Serozinc sounded like the perfect solution. Is it worth the hype? Yes, it is an amazing product and does exactly what it says on the tin. It instantly soothes irritation and redness and after just a couple of days of regular use my skin looked fresher and less 'angry'. I use this after an exfoliating toner and it works wonders. I will definitely repurchase it and stock up on it when I go to France in summer. If you have a lot of redness, angry blemishes or get allergic reactions to products- this will help your skin recover in no time!

I was also sent this purifying concentrate, but I didn't really like it. I think it is meant for extremely oily skin, because when I used it on my T-zone it left it really, really matte (too matte) and quite dry. It was ok on my nose, but I didn't like that feeling on my forehead. If you have problems with super oily skin, it could possibly change your life. It is meant to reduce established blemishes, smooth and refine skin's texture and minimise sebum production. The hero ingredients are glycolic acid and D-Panthenol.

Have you tried Serozinc? What other product would you recommend for soothing irritation and redness?
