OCC Lip Tars / Plastic Passion Collection, Spring 2014

OCC Plastic Passion Lip Tars* £11.95 each

I love OCC Lip Tars and the new Plastic Passion Collection features some stunning, unique shades. They launched today (1st of Feb) and you can choose from six shades in total. Four of them are bright matte colours and two have a metallic finish. I was kindly sent three of the shades to try out before the products were released and you might have seen me wearing the levender/purple one on instagram. I looooove it!

The lip tars come in little clear plastic pouches and a mini lip brush, which is perfect for applying the product. You can also use your fingers and dab it onto your lips, if you want less coverage and a more subtle wash of colour.

I am not sure, if you are familiar with OCC Lip Tars, but the formula is an opaque liquid which applies like a gloss and dries to a matte/satin finish. They apply like a dream and a little goes a long way, so be careful when you are squeezing out the product from the nozzle. Start with one tiny drop, because it might actually be enough to cover your full lips :)

The shades I picked are: Kimber (neon coral), Mannequin (Malibu Pink) and Rollergirl (vibrant lavender). My favourite is definitely Rollergirl and I love the way it looks on me. I will insert a photo of me wearing it at the end of the post.

All OCC lip tars are 100% vegan, cruelty free and don't contain any nasties or parabens. They are enriched with hemp oil, peppermint oil and vitamin E, so they don't feel drying on the lips. I find them very comfortable to wear. Perfect! The lasting power for the new shades is between 3-4 hours and the colour fades evenly into a very subtle stain effect.

OCC also released a collection of Cosmetic Colour Pencils in 12 shades. I really want to try the clear/invisible one!

Overall, I am in love with the shades I picked and I am actually planning to wear them in public. The neon coral and pink are not too crazy to be honest  and the lavender is insanely pretty and very unique! I am impressed.
