Brand focus: Zoeva (+giveaway)

When a little Zoeva parcel arrived at my doorstep all the way from Germany, I couldn't wait to play with my new brushes and liners. I already own the Luxe Colour Blush in Last Love, so I decided to give the new one away to one of my readers :)

I was kindly sent three eye brushes to try out: 234/Smoky Shader, 227/Soft Definer and 228/Crease. They are made with natural bristles (goat), so not cruelty free, but...some Zoeva brushes are synthetic and the super popular 227 has a vegan alternative, which I will list below. All of the brushes I received came in resealable plastic bags, which are great for travelling and keeping your brushes safe and clean. I forgot to photograph them, but they are very handy.

227 Soft Definer* £5.00

The  most exciting part of my Zoeve delivery! This baby is probably the best dupe of MAC 217, but I got it after publishing my dupe post, so I couldn't compare it. It is as good as Sigma's E25. I am really impressed  with it and I use it for blending powder eye shadow. The bristles are super soft and the shape of the brush helps to create smooth transitions between colours. You can also get a vegan option of this brush, made with synthetic bristles here.

234 Smoky Shader* £5.00

This brush is designed for applying and blending eyeshadow on the upper and lower lid and that's exactly what I use it for. Its slightly rounded edges help to achieve a professional finish and you can easily create a gorgeous smokey eye with it.

228 Crease Brush*  £5.00

If I need something more fluffy than the 227 brush,  I reach for brushes shaped like the 228 Crease Brush. It's oval shape is  perfect for defining the crease and the bristles feel really soft. The size is ideal for my crease, but there is actually an option for smaller eyes and it is the 231 Petite Crease Brush.

Cat Eye Pen Blackest Black Eyeliner* £4.50

I am very fussy with eyeliners and always go back to my trusty Bourjois Liner Pinceau, but... this little felt tip liner is incredible at creating a super thin line close to the lashes to make them appear thicker and fuller. It is also ultra black, just like the name suggests and stays put all day without flaking or smudging. It is  paraben free and dermatologically approved.

Graphic Eyes+ Black To Earth Waterproof Pencil* £4.50

Let's just say that this pencil is the blackest, most pigmented thing I have ever seen and once it is on the skin, it is not going anywhere. The texture is easy to apply and very smooth, but you have to be fast if you want to smudge it - once dry, the pencil won't go anywhere and will stay on the lid until you remove it with an oil based makeup remover or cleanser. It is waterproof on another level. It also lasts really well in the waterline and the formula is paraben free.

Luxe Color Blush in Last Love* £6.50

I won the exact same blush in the 'Daily Mix Birthday Giveaway' on Twitter and I have been using it a lot in December and January. It is a gorgeous peachy shade with a silky finish and it applies like a dream. Its finely milled formula is super pigmented and enriched with apricot oil and vitamin E. It adds a healthy glow to my cheeks and... it is free from parabens, fragrance, mineral oil and phthalates. The lasting power is between 6-8 hours.

If you like the look of this blush, make sure to enter my giveaway via rafflecopter. It's open internationally.

Am I impressed with Zoeva? Yes, Definitely. Their brushes are incredible, the blush is stunning and the liners are amazingly pigmented and long lasting. AMAZING! If you were thinking about trying Zoeva, but weren't sure about the quality, you have nothing to worry about. The brushes are super soft, made to a high standard and affordable! I am blown away! I would love to try some of their face brushes, especially the 101 Luxe Face Definer.
