Recent Beauty Purchases: YSL, Shu Uemura, Laura Mercier, Chantecaille, Sephora, Caudalie, Diptyque

I am trying to think of an excuse for all my recent purchases, but... I can't think of anything :) haha. I simply couldn't resist placing a couple of orders online. I have been lusting after the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, Diptyque Baies Candle and Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers for months (maybe years), so I finally bought them :) I purchased some other bits as well and... I also got my mitts on a beautiful Sephora Highlighter!

The most expensive purchase with it's ridiculous £33.00 price tag (gulp!) is the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. I got it in shade Cashew Beige, which is a bit too dark for my natural complexion, but it is a perfect match when I use Clarins Liquid Bronze. The question is - was it worth £33? I think it was. It is a lovely foundation with great coverage and a beautiful, silky finish. A little goes a long way, so it will last for ages! I also adore it's subtle scent. Would I repurchase? I am not sure yet :)

I also ordered the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers from Space NK. Again... the £20.00 price tag is ridiculous, but... they perform so much better than any cheap ones I used before. I am not amazed with the results, but these are the first curlers to actually curl my lashes slightly and they are supposed to last for a couple of years. I will be adding a  full review soon.

The Chantecaille Eyeshadow was a bargain at only £5.00 (originally £23.00) in the Space NK Sale. I am gutted that I only ordered one of these, because I adore the formula. I got a gorgeous shade called Menthe - a very light mint green colour with lots of micro shimmer. It applies very sheer, but it looks lovely in the inner corners, or under the brow bone.

The last item I ordered from Space NK is the Diptyque Baies Mini Candle (£20.00). It is smaller than I imagined, but it smells amazing. The scent is a mixture of blackcurrant leaves and roses and it fills the full room with the most incredible aroma. I love it!

I also placed a little Feel Unique order and got a gorgeous YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick in shade 9 (Nude in Private). It is a beautiful nude shade with a lot of shine.
It normally costs £24.00, but I got it for £21.60 with my 10% VIP discount (I chose YSL as my VIP brand for 6 months, you can join the VIP club here).

I also repurchased Caudalie Beauty Elixir (£10.35) because I am addicted to this stuff. I should probably order the 100ml bottle, but the £28.80 price tag scares me :)

When my sisters came for a visit, I asked one of them to buy me the beautiful Sephora Highlighting Compact Powder. It was just under £10.00 and it is absolutely beautiful. It adds a nice golden glow to my skin, without looking orange or shimmery. It can be used as a bronzer or highlighter.

I also ordered a couple of makeup storage and home decor bits, but I will share them in a separate post :)
