My Morning Skincare Routine

Sometimes I wish I had a very simple skincare routine, but as a beauty blogger, I try out many products quite often and I usually switch between a totally different skincare lineup every 2-3 months. I try to base my skincare around cleansing balms, hydrating serums and nourishing face creams to keep my skin happy, but one ingredient my face has been loving more than anything else is hyaluronic acid. Today, I am sharing my morning skincare lineup with short reviews of each product I am currently using.

There are two balm cleansers I am currently using: REN Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm*(£23.00) and The Rose Tree Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter*(£25.00). I reviewed the first one recently, so I won't be going into too much detail - it is a gorgeous formula, non greasy and easy to remove with warm water.

The Carrot & Mango Cleansing Butter is much thicker in consistency and very rich. I have been using it to give my skin an extra boost of hydration and to lock moisture. It definitely needs washing off with a lot of  hot flannel action, but it won't leave an oily residue on your skin. It is very soothing, leaves my skin super soft, clean and nourished. It is also great for removing makeup at night. You can buy it from www.therosetree.co.uk.

After cleansing, I use two La Roche-Posay products designed for oily skin, but I only apply them to my T-zone to keep it oil and shine free. The Effaclar Astrigent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant* (£11.00)  helps to reduce the size of pores, regulates sebum production and gently exfoliates, thanks to the LHA content. I also apply Effaclar K*(£13.00) onto my t-zone and it works wonders at keeping the oil at bay. If you have oily skin or combination skin with some oily areas, I would definitely recommend this duo.

On the rest of my face, I use the Caudalie Beauty Elixir (£10.35) to tone, smooth and add radiance. I love this stuff and I go through one bottle a month. I should probably buy the full size the next time. I also use it during the day to refresh my makeup and make my skin look more radiant, if I used too much powder etc. I am trying to convince my husband to start using it too, but he doesn't like the scent :/

Once my skin is prepped, I move onto the miracle workers! I was very intrigued by the packaging of these and couldn't wait to give them a go. I wasn't familiar with Skinbreeze products, but they are actually available from feelunique.com so you can buy them easily with free P&P. I recently run out of Hydraluron, so I wanted to use something packed with Hyaluronic Acid. The Skinbreeze Brightening Serum*(£40.00) sounded like the right product for my skin type and I replaced my morning dose of Hydraluron with it.

The Brightening Serum combines a special mix of ingredients to reduce pigmentation & brighten complexion and hyaluronic acid to attract moisture to the skin and rejuvenate. You only get 14ml of product, but one tiny drop of the gel is enough for my entire face and it feels very similar to Hydraluron - it is absorbed instantly and creates a perfect base for other products. I am very impressed with the effects of this brightening serum on my skin and I can see a big difference, especially on my cheeks, where I had some dark spots and uneven skintone. I have been using it for 4 weeks (morning and night) and I used up about 1/3 of the syringe.
I also apply it under my eyes and follow with Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream.

Another Skinbreeze product I have been trying out it the Blemish Fix* (£30.00) and it replaced my all time favourite Origins SuperSpot Remover. Did it work? Well... It actually worked much better, because it didn't leave my skin dry. I was looking for something I can use on big problem areas (like my neck and jawline) and this is perfect. I apply a small amount of the gel onto breakout prone parts of my face and let it sink in. The salicylic acid and beta hydroxy acid gently remove dead skin cells and keep pores clean, while the seaweed extract soothes irritation and redness. On top of that, Skinbreeze Blemish Fix provides a protective moisture barrier with hyaluronic acid and keeps the skin in perfect condition.

Another brand I am loving at the moment is Yonka. Their Hydra No.1 range is perfect for dehydrated skin and I became obsessed with two of their new products. They are quite pricey, but deliver amazing results and I am actually considering repurchasing both!

After using the hyaluronic acid based serum from Skinbreeze I follow with the Yonka Hydra No.1 Serum* (£57.00). Used together, they instantly hydrate my skin and make it look super plump! I have never seen my skin glow so beautifully and my husband has been complimenting on the 'healthy glow' A LOT!  It must be all the hyaluronic acid, because I am amazed with the way my skin looks and feels at the moment. Made with 95% natural ingredients, Hydra No.1 Serum transforms dehydrated and sensitive skin and adds a massive boost of hydration. It is a light formula, so it sinks into the skin within seconds and followed by the Yonka Hydra No.1 Creme* (£49.00) it will soothe the driest, most dehydrated skin types.

If you are looking for something to provide immediate AND long lasting results, you will be amazed with the Hydra No.1 range. The creme is packed with oil-restoring, repairing and anti-ageing ingredients, protects the skin against environmental factors and leaves it feeling incredibly soft, smooth and radiant! Just like the serum, it features hyaluronic acid to lock and attract moisture.

FACT: The Serum and Creme combo boost skins hydration levels by 144% immediately! How amazing is that? I couldn't recommend this range enough, especially for dehydrated skin. I am addicted!

For oily skin types, Yonka offers a Hydra No.1 Fluid, to provide hydrating effects of the serum, with an added mattifying benefit. You can buy the Hydra No.1 range  from www.yonkashop.co.uk

I know that my morning skincare routine might sound a bit excessive, but...  I have to make sure that my oily areas get the right treatment, while the dry areas get plenty of hydration. It really works and I have never seen my skin in such great condition. I put it down to all the hyaluronic acid in my serums and creams. When your husbands asks you, where is the glow coming from, you know you are doing something right :)
