High End Makeup Worth The Splurge

I like to treat myself to high end makeup every now and then, but I always do a lot of research, before I splurge on something expensive. There is always a small chance that I won't like it, but.... I am happy with most of my high end purchases. Today I would like to share some of the makeup gems I fell in love with.

My favourite high end foundation is Lancome Teint Miracle (£27.50). It's been my Holy Grail base for many years and nothing compares to it in my opinion. It gives great coverage, looks very natural and lasts on my skin all day. For reference- I have combination skin, with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks. Read my full review here.

I don't use powders every day, but I always wanted to try the beautiful Guerlain Meteorites Pearls (£35.50). The packaging is to die for and the product itself is lovely. I got them in shade 03 Teint Dore and they are a perfect match for my skin tone (with yellow undertones). The pearls give my skin the most beautiful finish, without looking too matte or cakey. I would say, that they make my skin look slightly photoshopped, add a nice glow, reduce the appearance of marks and scarring and leave my face with a lovely, silky finish. They have a tiny bit of shimmer, but it is very subtle. I am seriously impressed with the Meteorites Pearls and I think that they are worth every penny.

There is one high end blusher I adore- Chanel Powder Blush in shade 82 Reflex. It is absolutely gorgeous and applies like a dream. Retailing at £31.00, it isn't cheap, but it is definitely my favourite cheek colour. The packaging scream luxury and the colour lasts on my cheeks for 8h+, adding a beautiful peachy glow. Perfect!

Another Chanel product worth the splurge is the Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in shade 55 Romance (£24.00). It is the perfect pink - subtle and girly. I use it, when I want my makeup to look perfect and I will definitely repurchase it in the future. Read my full review here

One more high end lipstick worth mentioning is the YSL Rouge Volupte in shade 9 Caress Pink(£24.50) It is darker than Chanel Romance and has a more opaque, satin finish. It glides onto the lips, feels very moisturising and the heavy gold packaging is super luxurious! I can't wait to try the Shine edition.

The last item isn't from a typical luxury brand, like YSL, Chanel or Guerlain, but it is the most expensive beauty product I have ever bought. It is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette(£36.00). I had the original Naked as well, but I figured that I don't need both. Naked 2 features beautiful, wearable shades and it is perfect for travelling. The quality of UD eyeshadows is amazing. It is the best formula on the market in my opinion. If you are an eyeshadow newbie, Naked 2 or Naked are the best choice.

If you own any of the products featured in this post, let me know if they worked for you. Oh, and I would love to hear your high end recommendations as well :)
