Sunday Manicure: Bourjois Laser Manicure Toppings

I have been experimenting with the new Bourjois Laser Manicure Toppings* (£5.99) in the past week and I quite like the effect I can achieve with just one coat. The range consists of three shades: Blue Neon, Aqua Purple and Sun Scales and the last one is definitely my favourite.
If you apply a small amount of the product onto your nails, the gold metallic strands add a nice touch of sparkle, but you can also layer it for a stronger effect. With two coats, the finish reminds me of feathers. I realise that it isn't to everyones taste, but I love nail art and I very rarely wear a simple one colour manicure :)

For the first colour combination I used Caramel Mocha from Nail Girls London* as a base with a generous layer of Sun Scales on top. It looks lovely with a simple black maxi dress and a bronze smokey eye - my "go to summer look".

The consistency of Bourjois Laser Manicure Toppings works really well with the flat brush and the application is super easy. They dry within a couple of minutes, but the finish isn't smooth. To avoid the temptation of picking off the metallic strands, I have been using Seche Vite Top Coat  to give the manicure a smooth(er) finish.

Another combo I have been loving is "Big Yellow Taxi" by Ciate with the gold laser topping:

You can buy Bourjois Laser Manicure Toppings for £5.99 each from Boots, Superdug and other Bourjos stockists.
