Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Brush Collection Review

Real Techniques brushes are absolutely amazing and I can't imagine doing my makeup without them. I own the Core Collection, a Powder Brush and a Blush Brush. I was planning to invest in the Starter Set as well, but I have far too many eye shadow brushes already.

The newest addition to Sam's range is the limited edition Duo-Fiber Collection, consisting of three high tech brushes.
The new brushes are made with synthetic taklon bristles and are less dense than the standard range. They are also hand cut and cruelty free. It is hard to describe how they feel on the face, but it is a pleasant feeling. The bristles work with cream, liquid and powder formulas and are designed to give an air-brushed finish. The design features black & white aluminium handles, which are very light and comfortable to hold.

The set includes a Face Brush, a Contour Brush and an Eye Brush. All of them are great multi-taskers and help to create soft layers of product, giving a natural looking finish.

Duo Fiber Face Brush

This brush is perfect for applying face powders, mineral powders/foundations and blushers.
It can be used with pressed and loose powders to create a flawless complexion, or to build up soft layers of cheek colour. It feels amazingly soft on my face and I have been reaching for it every day.

Duo Fiber Contour Brush

If you love the look of beautifully defined cheekbones, this brush will help you achieve a perfectly contoured look. It creates soft layers of colour and works really well with cream and powder formulas. I tried it with Mac Sculpting Creams and I was very impressed with the effect I achieved - flawless! If you prefer contouring with powders, you can use this brush with your favourite bronzer. I also love using it with highlighters on top of my cheekbones, or to add an allover glow to my face.

Duo Fiber Eye Brush

I have a big collection of eye shadow brushes, but this one became my blending favourite. I use it for blending out smokey eye looks or to add crease colour to my simple everyday eye makeup. It is a nice little brush, but it does feel a bit scratchy sometimes, depending on the angle. Some people absolutely hate it, but I don't mind the feeling of it at all.

Overall, I am very impressed with this set and I would recommend it to those who love a flawless finish and a lightweight application of product.
