Paul & Joe Summer 2013 Beach Baby Collection

I am a sucker for pretty packaging and I often buy products, because they are cute and beautiful!
The SS13 Beach Baby collection from Paul & Joe Beaute is absolutely gorgeous and in my opinion, it ticks all the boxes. The quality of the products is great, the colours are perfect for summer and the packaging is to die for!

I was kindly sent a selection of products from the Beach Baby collection and I went a little bit crazy with the photos :) Photographing makeup is one of my favourite things to do (except actually using it), hence the photo heavy reviews... I hope you don't mind :)

The collection is inspired by 60's nostalgia and retro beach films and it is all about sun, surf and sand.

The eye gloss and lip gloss duos are available in 5 colour combinations, all of them very pretty and perfect for summer. I received the "Nice" duo, featuring a subtle pink/coral lipgloss and a shimmery lilac eye gloss.

I have never used an eye gloss before, but I  quickly fell love with my new discovery. Once blended out, the lilac shade is very sheer, with subtle rose gold shimmer and it looks beautiful! It can be applied allover the lid or used under the brow bone as a highlighter. I also used it on my cheekbones and it looks really pretty!

The lip gloss has been my go to lip product in June and I love the way it looks and feels on my lips. It is non sticky, applies like a dream, adds a perfect amount of colour and gives a glossy finish. The formula is very moisturising and it is enriched with orange flower water and white lily extract.

Blotting papers are my summer essential. They are perfect for keeping my t-zone oil free and I always carry them in my handbag. The limited edition packaging of these is really cute and features dolphin print! For me, it is a good enough reason to buy them :) haha

Nail colours from the Beach Baby collection are very vibrant and sumer appropriate. You can choose from five beautiful shades, all packed in signature Paul & Joe bottles.
The formula is easy to apply and non streaky and I needed two coats to achieve even, opaque coverage. The finish of these is very glossy and once dry, the nail polish has a delicate scent.
Caribbean is a mint green colour and Rio is a bright coral.

I can't really judge the lasting power of these, because all nail polishes chip on my nails after 2-3 days.

The eyeliner & eye crayon duos are really lovely and the colour combinations are wearable and pretty. My favourite must be the neutral one. It is called Saint Tropez and it has a nude eyeliner on one side and a shimmery bronze eye crayon on the other side. It is perfect for an effortless holiday look! The nude eyeliner looks nice on the lower waterline and makes my eyes look brighter, less tired and bigger. The formula is easy to apply, long lasting and water resistant, making the duos a great choice for summer holidays.

Two other duos I received are called Fiji (brown eyeliner and shimmery pink eye crayon) and
Cyprus (khaki eyeliner and shimmery golden yellow eye crayon). I adore all the names in the collection btw.

To keep your foundation in place, smooth fine lines and reduce the appearance of imperfections, Paul & Joe Beaute offer this limited edition base. It is lightweight, feels hydrating and gives an oil free finish. I love using it under bb creams and foundations, especially on my t-zone. It  helps to keep it shine-free for 6-8 hours and makes pores less visible. If my face starts to look shiny again, I use blotting papers :)

All the products are available from Paul & Joe stockists, including Asos, Beautybay and Selfridges.
