OCC Lip Tars, Loose Colours and Creme Colour Concentrates

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is one of the most popular vegan and cruelty free brands and I have always been intrigued by their products. OCC was created by a fashion runway and celebrity makeup artist David Klasfeld and provides pro quality cosmetics, known for their great formulas. I was kindly sent a selection of OCC goodies from Cocktail Cosmetics and I am excited to share my thoughts with you!

OCC Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars* in shades Interlace and Memento £11.95 each

When I tried the lip tars for the first time, I squeezed far too much product out :) I didn't realise how amazingly pigmented they are! The tiniest amount of the lip tars, gives opaque, even coverage and a beautiful satin finish. Each Lip Tar comes in a plastic bag with a little lip brush, making the application and storage hassle free.

OCC Lip Tars feel hydrating, light and comfortable on the lips and last for 2-3 hours. I received two shades to try out and I adore both of them! Shade Interlace is a true nude colour and it looks surprisingly flattering on me. I was worried that it will make me look ghost-like, but it is gorgeous!  Memento reminds me of my favourite MAC lipstick- Fanfare. It is a beautiful, warm and natural looking pink and it would look amazing on all skin tones.

The formula of OCC Lip Tars is 100% vegan and cruelty free, free from parabens and harsh preservatives and enriched with hemp oil, peppermint oil and vitamin E. I must admit - I am super impressed with OCC Lip Tars.

OCC Creme Colour Concentrates* £14.95 each

I am going through a "highlighter craze" at the moment, so trying out new pots of shimmer became one of my favourite things to do :) haha. The OCC Creme Colour Concentrates are multipurpose products, but I decided to use them to highlight the tops my cheekbones. They can also be used on eyes and lips. The formula is smooth, creamy, nicely pigmented and easy to blend and you can build up the layers with your fingers or a brush. Shade Icarus is a beautiful, super pigmented yellow gold with subtle micro shimmer, perfect as a highlight colour on a bronzed complexion. Shade Pleasure Model is a pearlescent pink and it would look amazing on pale skin tones.

OCC Colour Concentrate Pigments* £9.50 each

Eye shadow pigments are one of those products I have a love/hate relationship with. I adore their colour payoff , but the packaging and loose formula make the application quite messy. I love playing with makeup though, so I reach for loose pigments, when I feel creative in the makeup department :)

OCC Loose Pigments are easy to blend and apply like a dream. Used without the primer, they give a beautiful layer of sheer colour, perfect for a quick everyday look. If you use them with a primer, you can achieve super pigmented, vibrant colours with a luminous finish.

You can also use the pigments as cheek or highlight colour or mix them with lip glosses and foundations. I have been using Glisten as a blusher and it looks lovely!

Clove- perfect everyday champagne shade.
Slag- golden brown shade with a green duo-chrome finish.
Glisten- coral shade with a hint of pink and peach shimmer

wearing the tiniest amount of OCC Slag on my eyelids, Lip Tar in Memento on my lips, Glisten pigment on my cheeks and Icarus Creme Color on the tops of my cheekbones.
