Some #healthspo :) and weight loss update

Hi everyone! After receiving tons of emails about the old weight loss blog, I decided to dedicate some posts on my blog to healthy eating and dieting. I added a healthy eating page to the tabs and I will try to blog about this subject every week/every two weeks.
I am still on a weight loss journey and I probably will be for the next 1-2 years, so if I can help anyone  to lose a couple of pounds by adding some healthy recipes, it will make me happy :) Every time  I get a lovely message from someone thanking me for inspiring them to eat healthy, it makes me even more determined to stick to my plan.

I know that it might sound strange coming from somebody who is overweight, but I have always loved healthy food and most of the time I eat clean. I never expected to end up as a size 20, but unfortunately, I nearly doubled in size during pregnancy and I have to deal with it  now :O

THE PLAN:
I am avoiding all processed foods as much as I can and simply eat as clean as possible. I make most of my meals from scratch and I am currently eating a lot of gluten free meals. Why? Because my younger sister (allergic to gluten) came to stay with me for a couple of weeks and I am cooking for both of us.

Another thing I should  probably mention is the fact that I don't really eat red meat. I was vegetarian for nearly a decade, but I decided to add fish to my diet when I was planning my pregnancy. After having a baby, I decided to eat chicken as well, but I still eat vegetarian meals 5 days a week, because I just love veg!!! I've never been a fan of red meat to be honest. I love all the Quorn alternatives of red meat though - delicious! :)

  7. great inspiration! im a bit of a health nut myself and enjoy making my own versions of dishes so i know exactly what is going into my food! so many people don't realise that preservatives and artificial sweeteners in "diet" foods are some of the biggest problems and traps!

  17. Cleansing will definitely help lose weight faster and try to exclude carbs as much as possible and include more protein. Carbs are hard to digest and they slow down the metabolism, as well as clog up your system, which leads to water retention. Hence, it's much harder to lose weight.
