Sigma Dare Eye Shadow Base Kit review and swatches

I really like cream eye shadow bases and I use them when I want to achieve great pigmentation and a beautiful finish. Sigma Dare Eye Shadow Base Kit is perfect for this and contains 3 cream bases in beautiful shades. I adore a combination of gold and burgundy, so it was love at first sight/touch/use :)

The formula of the Sigma shadow bases is smooth, easy to blend and very pigmented.
The product is meant to be used under normal eye shadows, but when I am in a rush, I use the gold shade on it's own, smudged allover the lid. It looks lovely and natural.

Most of the time, I create a base with the gold and burgundy shade and add eye shadows similar in colour on top (like Urban Decay Last Call, Chopper, Half Baked) You can see the base and the finished look on the photos below . I was expecting a lot of creasing, but it was minimal and started showing after around 6 hours. Other cream products I've tried creased after 15 minutes, so big thumbs up for Sigma's formula! The bases help to intensify the colour of eyeshadows and act as a primer. You can experiment with different shades to achieve a variety of looks and create totally new and unique colours.

The kit comes with an F70 brush, perfect for applying the product. The shades include:

Dash - Matte Plum
Strike - Shimmery Burgundy
Unveil - Shimmery Gold

Overall, I am really impressed with the formula and the packaging is lovely too. The pots are made of glass and come with a protective lid to prevent drying. You can choose from  three different sets: Dare (to add warmth and intensity), Bare (neutrals) and Flare (vibrant colours to brighten and add contrast).  The kit comes in a nice presentation box and would make a perfect gift.

You can buy the Sigma Dare Eye Shadow base Kit and other Sigma products (makeup, brushes) from
