Urban Decay New Ammo Palette Review and Swatches

Urban Decay Ammo Palette* (new 2013 edition)

If you own the original UD Ammo palette, you will know that the colours in this one are exactly the same. The only differences are:

-an improved eye shadow formula in the new palette ( all new UD eyeshadows are reformulated)
-different design on the front- it was a floral design on the old Ammo , now it is a floral skull.
-the brush/applicator (original comes with a  double sided sponge applicator, new one with a brush)
-Primer Potion format- the original comes with a bottled one, in the new one you get it in a tube.

The palette includes 10 most popular Urban Decay eyeshadows (all available full size) and offers a variety of colours to create daytime and nigh time looks. The shades include:

Smog - shimmery copper/bronze
Mildew - shimmery forest/khaki green
Oil Slick - black with micro-glitter
Last Call - shimmery plum/burgundy shade
Chopper - shimmery copper/gold
Maui Wowie - shimmery golden beige with micro-glitter
Shattered - shimmery turquoise/aqua
Polyester Bride - shimmery white
Grifter - shimmery lavender/lilac
Sin - shimmery champagne beige

The formula of all eyeshadows in this palette is smooth and creamy, super pigmented and easy to blend.
All shades lasted on my eyelids all day, without any fallout or creasing. I used the Primer Potion as a base to get the best results. You might notice a slight fallout when you are applying the product  due to the shimmery texture, but it is normal. Once on, the eyeshadows will stay in place for over 12 hours without any fading.
I also noticed that once applied, the shimmer looks very subtle and gives a frosty finish.

I have been a fan of the Urban Decay eyeshadow formula for years and I am always impressed with all their products. This palette is really lovely and I will be able to create many looks with it. I tried a gold and burgundy smokey eye, but I am already thinking of blue, lilac, gold and black combinations. Ammo includes some of my all time favourites and I love it!

If you haven't tried Urban Decay eyeshadows before, this little beaut would be perfect to start your UD adventure :)
I have to warn you though - you might become addicted, like me.

You can buy tho palette from House of Fraser, Debenhams, Beauty Bay etc... For £23.00
