Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review and swatches

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation* £8.99 in shade 130 Shell

I love trying out new foundations, so I was really excited to give the Revlon Nearly Naked a go.
I am all about a natural finish and this product is exactly what I need to achieve it.

First of all, you have to remember that Revlon Nearly Naked is a light/medium coverage foundation, so if you are looking for full coverage, you should consider something else.
I see negative reviews of products based on the wrong expectations and it really confuses me.
A tinted moisturiser won't camouflage very visible imperfections - a concealer is needed for this kind of magic.

I don't like to wear a lot of product on my face, so I applied a small amount of the foundation on my cheeks, where I have no breakouts and more product on my forehead, chin and around my nose, where I have a lot of discolouration. This way they finish looks more natural. If I have bad dark circles or breakouts, I add a little bit on concealer on those areas.

As per usual, I have to make sure that my skin is prepped (exfoliated, moisturised etc) and primed to get the best results. Having a strict skincare routine is an important part of making your makeup look flawless.  After using a primer (I used Benefit Porefessional) I blend the foundation into my skin with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.
A small amount of product gives light coverage, but you can build it up to medium if you use a brush.

Revlon Nearly Naked feels very light and non greasy and it is ideal for those who love a more natural look and light-medium  coverage. It is very easy to blend and shade Shell is a perfect match for me (without a tan). The lasting power, without a powder is ok - about 6 hours and with a powder it will last for about 8-10 hours. It evens out skintone and covers minor imperfections, without looking cakey.

The only thing  I don't like about it is the packaging. I prefer foundations with pump dispensers, because a simple bottle like this one can cause some serious mess (if you are a bit clumsy like me).

Overall, Revlon Nearly Naked foundation is a lovely, light base, with a natural finish.
It is on the more affordable side and costs £8.99 per 30ml. Boots usually has offers on makeup though, so you can pick it up when they have the 3 for 2 deal.

L-R: 1.No makeup. 2. Benefit Porefessional + unblended Nearly Naked. 3. Blended.
