MyVitamins

You might know that I am  on a weight loss journey and a little bit obsessed with healthy eating.
I was sent a selection of MyVitamins products to try out and after a full month of taking the supplements, I am ready to share my thoughts.

I received this bundle from www.lookfantastic.com  and it includes:

Total Acai Berry* (£3.49) - a premium supplement which includes 150mg of Acai Berry Extract, which is equal to 3000mg of actual Acai Berry. This dynamic antioxidant assists the body when neutralising and eliminating free radicals, which have been known to attack the health of your body’s cells. By lessening free radical activity, the body will have an increased ability to support itself throughout healthy ageing, everyday bodily function and strengthening immune function. Acai Berry is a well-known, powerful antioxidant that can provide support towards everyday health and protecting the immune system from free radical attacks.

True Woman Thermo* (£7.99) -  an exclusive blend of dynamic nutrients to help women achieve their weight management goals. The all-inclusive formula includes some of the most well-known body shape nutrients: Chromium, Caffeine and Green Tea Extract. Combining numerous styles of weight management components to assist thermogenic, energising and fat mobilising concepts; True Woman Thermo is great for women who want to achieve their objectives and maintain a great body shape.

Total CLA* (£5.49)- a high quality supplement naturally developed from Safflowers, supporting the body with an extensive 1800mg of CLA per serving. CLA is a powerful fatty acid that is favourably used by millions to support weight management goals; it can be shown to boost the body when transforming stores of fat into useable energy, also helping with body composition. Total CLA is a great choice for those wanting to support their weight management goals during a healthy diet.

Total Carb Blocker* (£5.49) -  a highly potent blend that provides the body with 500mg of White Kidney Bean Extract, a well-known supplement used for preventing the digestion of carbohydrates. The natural extract works by hindering the enzyme Amylase when separating from carbohydrates into sugar, and also by reducing the energy that the body can abstract from starch. Total Carb Blocker is also known to help reduce the number of calories consumed from carbohydrate rich foods including pasta, potatoes and bread, without having to extensively discard them from your diet.Total Carb Blocker makes a great choice for those wanting to support their weight control during an everyday, healthy lifestyle.

So... Did the supplements work for me?

I am not 100 % sure, because my opinion is only based on my observations, but ...
I definitely have more energy, my skin looks healthier and I am losing weight. Obviously, I am eating very healthy and exercising a couple of times a week, but I am sure that the Carb Blocker, Total CLA and True Woman Thermo helped me achieve better weight loss results.

I am very impressed with the Acai Berry capsules. They are the ones I will definitely repurchase.
They gave my immune system a much needed boost and when everybody around me was seriously ill, I was the only one with a slight cold. (On a side note: I always eat my 5-a-day, I don't drink or smoke and I don't eat red meat. )
Again, I can't  be 100% sure that my immune system is strong due to taking the capsules, but I am happy to repurchase them in the future.

MyVitamins products are very popular amongst nutritionists and fitness experts and they offer premium ingredients at affordable prices. I already have Omega 3-6-9 and more Acai Berry capsules in my basket and I will be testing them out on my husband. His immune system is really weak, so I am hoping to see amazing results.

Do you take vitamins and supplements to boost your immune system?

    1. Thank you lovely. I eat fruit and veg in each meal and as snacks so it all adds up. I was vegetarian for nearly a decade and veg is still the biggest part of my diet :) I only eat chicken once or twice a week + fish or Quorn for the rest of the week.

Try to replace your snacks with fruit and veg and you will get your 5 a day easily. I usually snack on apples, oranges and bananas or raw vegetables cut into sticks, with a humus dip. Soups are also a great way to get your 5 a day and they are low in calories. Oh, and fruit smoothies made with frozen berries and ice- amazing and cheap!

I will add a post about healthy eating soon and feature my favourite recipes. x

  6. Thank you for sharing that!
I don't take any vitamins, I used to take Vitamin C. I add some only a few drops coconut oil to my tea and I heard that adding some chlorophyll to your water, or any drink is good for you! Ah, I need to stop being so unhealthy! ^^
    Thank you for the encouragement!
