New on my desk: Lumie Desklamp Touch SAD light

I was kindly sent a Lumie Desklamp* last week and since I haven't featured my temporary desk area on the blog before, I will mention it in this post :) As you might know, I am currently decorating my dressing/makeup room and I wanted to have a little desk there, to help me stay organised. I am on a spending ban at the moment, so I decided to create a temporary work space, with a couple of storage boxes and a glossy worktop I found in the utility room :) I am pleasantly surprised with the way it turned out but I will be buying a proper desk once my ban is over.

So, what's on my desk? A mixture of styles... I have a broken vintage mirror I got as a present from my sister (obviously, it wasn't broken when I got it), My Blog planner and the Q&A diary. I also keep  Caudalie Grape Water handy, just in case I decide to refresh my skin.

The last thing on my desk is the Lumie Desklamp, I mentioned at the beginning of the post.
It is a modern looking white lamp, with a touch control brightener for 4 different levels of intensity.
The lamp offers summer levels of bright light,  to lift your mood, boost concentration and restore your natural energy. It treats the symptoms of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and the winter blues.

I have to admit, I am always affected by the weather/seasons.  In spring/summer, I am happy and full of energy and life, but in autumn/winter I am the most depressed person you can find. That's why I was very excited to try out the lamp. You are meant to use it for 60 minutes a day as SAD therapy, or if you remove the diffuser, you will only need 30 minutes. I used it as a desk light, every evening since I got it (5 days ago) and I am very pleased with it. It is a great desk lamp, it gives a lot of bright light and is very well made.
Now onto the benefits of using the lamp: I noticed that it helps me to concentrate on my work and makes me more alert/awake. I am hoping to notice some long-term benefits as well and to help me get rid of the horrible winter blues. It would be fantastic and to be honest, I believe that it will help with that if I keep using it.

Overall, it is a great lamp which offers a lot more than a normal desk light.
Great for the office, to boost concentration and restore natural energy.
