Clarins Spring 2013 Collection - Iris Blossom Eye Quartet, Face Palette and Water Lily lip gloss / Four makeup looks

Clarins must be my favourite brand when it comes to limited edition makeup products. They always WOW me and I find myself looking at their beautiful palettes for ages, before I can actually swatch them :) I am sure you can related to this if you love pretty, embossed designs. The Spring Collection is even more beautiful than the Christmas one and it is inspired by the beautiful Iris flower.

"Discover the fresh, soft feeling of spring; a velvety complexion, captivating eyes and youthful, radiant lips with the first age-defying lipstick from Clarins."

The spring collection is available to buy here and includes new Rouge Eclat lipsticks, lip glosses and limited edition palettes.

"A trio of fresh, complexion boosting shades embossed with the Iris flower. A silky, light face powder for a matte, even complexion with a natural appearance"

I will be very predictable and start with the gorgeousness of this palette :) How beautiful is it? Can it get any better? I don't think so! The design is breathtaking! I must admit -I was very excited to photograph this beaut. The embossed iris flower is such a lovely touch! The powder comes in signature Clarins packaging- reflective gold case with a big mirror inside. It can be used as a finishing powder or a blusher and I love the finish I can achieve with it. If I swirl my brush allover the pallette or in the middle, the shade I get  is a natural peachy beige. If I want to use it as a blush, I concentrate on the coloured areas, to get more peachy and pink pigments onto my brush. The palette is perfect for Spring, to add a healthy flush of colour to the cheeks and to keep your face shine free. The texture of the powder is very smooth and applies beautifully, giving a natural looking finish.

"A collection of wet and dry formula eye shadow quartets, each containing four toning shades of satin and iridescent long lasting, super silky and blendable eye colour. Presented in Clarins' signature pale gold compact with mirror and two quality foam tipped applicators; one for defining the eye and one for shading and blending."

Another beautiful limited edition palette from Clarins. Whoever designs them, deserves a big applause!
Let's all take a minute to admire the iris flower embossing! (oh....) Just like the face palette, this beaut is breathtaking and it took me ages to finally stick my fingers into it, to swatch it and use it :) The gold compact comes with two applicators and I actually really like them and they are great for creating simple looks.  Iris Blossom palette consists of four beautiful shades:

-metallic/shimmmery mushroom brown
-shimmery white
-very dark, matte charcoal
-shimmery/metallic dark purple

I am a massive fan of Clarins eyeshadows and I love their velvety soft texture. They can be used wet and dry, are nicely pigmented and very long lasting. My favourite shade must be the mushroom brown- it is simply beautiful! I created a look with all the shades and it is a subtle smokey eye with hints of purple, blended out with the brown shade. You can see all the swatches on the pictures below, in daylight and with flash.

"A new generation gloss combining incredible shine, intense colour and lasting hold.  Its highly smoothing, gel-like texture which is non-sticky and shapes lips, coats them in a veil of softness and comfort.  Choose from eight shades which boost overall facial radiance and enjoy their delicious flavour with notes of blackcurrant and liquorice."

The Water Lily Gloss Prodige is my first Clarins lip gloss and I am in love with it. Oh wow, it feels and looks amazing and... tastes delicious! The flavour isn't there for too long and I couldn't taste liquorice, but it tastes lovely and sweet. Water Lily is a natural peachy shade. It is almost clear, but with a delicate  peachy pink shimmer. It gives a glossy finish to my lips and can be used on its own for a neutral lip or on top of any lipstick to add shine and an illusion of fuller lips. I have been using it every day and it is beautiful. It doesn't feel sticky and stays put for 2-3 hours. It would suit all skin tones and compliment every makeup look. Definitely a Spring essential.

I have no idea why I look so pale on this photo. My camera was a nightmare and I couldn't capture this look properly. I am wearing all the products I mentioned in this review + mascara and foundation.
I created four eye makeup looks with the palette. It is so versatile. You can go for a delicate white and purple smokey eye, brown smokey, dark charcoal etc.
