BUTTER LONDON 3 Free Nail Lacquer-Vernis in shade Gobsmacked

"Unusual, highly pigmented, dark charcoal grey nail lacquer with silver twinkle.
This Butter London shade has a slightly textured finish."

I love glitter on my nails and since I got a great peel off base coat from Amelia's shop (make sure to check it out) I have been wearing glitter nail polishes nearly every day :) I always wanted to try Butter London nail lacquers, because they are luxurious and free from nasty ingredients (Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP and Parabens)

When I got "Gobsmacked" in the post.I did a happy dance :) and painted my nails immediately.
It is a gorgeous dark charcoal grey with beautiful, eye-catching silver sparkles.
The formula is quite thin, applies beautifully and dries quickly. This colour needs 3 coats for an opaque finish, but because it dries fast it really isn't a problem. I painted one hand with 3 coats of Gobsmacked and used it as a top coat on top of a dark green on the other hand. You can see a green hint from the nail polish I used as a base on the pictures below. I also swatched the nail varnish on a nail art wheel so you can see how it looks like with 1,2 and 3 coats and on top of another colour.

I love Gobsmacked. It is a perfect shade for the party season and Christmas time and it would make a lovely gift.
L-R: used as a top coat, 3 coats, 2 coats, 1 coat
Left- used as a top coat,  Right-3 coats of Gobsmacked

  17. Pretty! Butter London does great glitter polishes :). I love the shade of this one, it has a bit of an urban edge to it.

  18. Yey, I'm glad to hear the base coat is helping you wear glitter polishes a bit more with a little less hassle! How are you finding it? I've started to find that some glitters peel off more easily than others, still always a darn sight easier than using polish remover mind you! haha :) Hope it's working well for you :) Love that Butter London colour, i spotted it a few weeks ago, might have to make a little order!
