MAC Satin Lipstick- Myth 3g £14.00 link
I love the look of nude lipsticks but in my opinion it is really hard to find a perfect nude/beige shade.
I bought a couple of MAC lipsticks recently and I couldn't resist picking up Myth.
It seemed like a perfect shade, but I wasn't sure if the formula will be creamy enough.
Myth is a light neutral nude shade with a satin finish and it is very pigmented.
It feels fairly comfortable on the lips and stays put for about 4-6 hours.
It isn't very moisturising, but it isn't drying either. I am still not sure about it.
I prefer to use a lip balm before applying this shade, but in the swatches I used it on its own.
I am not in love with Myth, but I will be wearing it with a lip balm in the future.
I found a perfect nude recently and I will be reviewing it soon- it is the gorgeous YSL Rouge Volupte in shade 02 Sensual Silk.
If you were considering buying Myth, I would give it a miss ladies :)
If you own Myth, what are your thoughts?

Ohhh this is gorgeous, I love natural shades, shame about it being dry though, I love really hydrating lipstick :)

I used to love this shade but went off it because I think it's too similar to concealer lips haha! Hue by mac is my all time fave now xxx
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely on but I'm unsure of it when it is in the tube. It looks great on you though.

I've seen swatches and decided to pass on it.
ReplyDeleteGreat review of this lovely! I'm not really a nude fan but I do always look at Myth when I go to MAC - I think I'll give it a miss though! xx

ReplyDeleteIt looks great on you but I don't think this would suit me! x

I don't think I would like myth either. I own both creme d'nude and blankety and find those shades almost too light for me. Myth is even lighter than that it seems. xx
ReplyDeletecompletely irrelevant but I love your eyebrows and eyeliner! they look amazing. myth is a good nude but I find nudes notorious and so difficult to get just right, this one definitely looks like one that's actually good and will suit a variety or skin tones :) xx
ReplyDeletethis is a beautiful colour! :D

Myth always makes me look so ill~ The colour is gorgeous though, but it is just not suitable for my skin-tone. My two favourite nude lipsticks from MAC is 'Creme de nude' and 'Viva glam gaga II'~

Looks a tad too cool..my favourite nude lipstick now is Mac's Velvet Teddy..cool enough to be nude but warm enough to not look ghostly if that makes any sense..haha

Myth would make me look dead but it looks beautiful n you! Great job with your pictures they look amazing
ReplyDeleteIt does look nice, but I can defiantly see what you mean! I was thinking about purchasing this one, I will reconsider it now! Love your reviews

I like the color but I think it would look too nude on me - however, it looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteIt looks good when in the tube, but not sure when it's on the lips! I usually like nude shades, but I think it would drain me of colour if I was to wear it. But then again, that's what bronzer and highlight were for! So I reckon I would end up wearing this shade, if accompanied by a good bronzer and highlight. It definitely suits you though! xo

I'm not sure if this colour is for me - it does look like a very light nude colour! I think that you manage to pull it off though :)
ReplyDeleteI love everything on you in these photos, especially the foundation/powder and blush you are wearing. Would greatly appreciate knowing what products you used. Everything co-ordinates beautifully in this look :)
ReplyDeleteI am wearing Liz Earle Signature Foundation, Liz Earle Loose Powder and Liz Earle Powder Blusher in shade Nectar :) x A bit Liz Earle crazy :)
DeleteThank you so much, greatly appreciated :)
