Homemade avocado and banana face mask

Have you ever tried homemade face masks? They are brilliant and easy to make. My favourite one is avocado and banana. Both fruits are full of goodness for your skin, avocado is highly moisturising and nourishing and banana is full of precious minerals that will benefit your skin. You can also add egg yolks, olive oil, yogurt or vitamin E. It is up to you, be adventurous! If there is any leftovers, freeze them and thaw anytime you need a face mask. This little skin treat leaves my face soft and nourished, gives it  a lovely glow and it is 100% natural! Use organic ingredients to make sure there is no nasty preservatives in them! I usually keep it on for 10-15 minutes for best results. Are you going to give it a go?

  1. I love avocodo and banana too much, I couldn't be trusted with this mask, I'd end up eating more than I put on my skin ;)

  2. I made a homemade porridge oat mask recently by combining it with honey and lemon juice and it left my skin nice and soft.

This sounds great but I don't think I could waste a scrummy avocado on my face when it should be getting in my belly!

  3. I love making my own facemasks. I normally get my 10 year old sister to help me out, it's a great thing to do with girls that age as it makes them feel grown up and she does't go and steal my expensive skin care haha x

  7. Avocado is SO good for skin! I use avocado oil on my eyes while I sleep, I just started doing this about 2 months ago and I've noticed a big difference in my skin smoothness and my eyelash thickness!

  9. My bf is mad for avocado so I think he'd kill me if I used it on my face instead of allowing him to eat it! Although that looks SO gorgeous! Maybe it will get him into taking care of his skin? ;)
    Great idea though hun! xx

  10. I love natural face makes :) I like banana, oats and honey mixed together~ It feels so good on the skin and leaves skin feeling so soft and hydrated after. I have also heard banana and avacado is great for treating damaged hair too so i guess this mixture can be used for the face and the hair. Thanks for sharing and getting me in the spirit to try more natural home-made face masks! xoxo

  17. Oh how weird, I was literally just Googling DIY face masks and came across this recipe, and then I saw your post on my Bloglovin' feed! Good to know it's worth a go, think I will try it tomorrow evening. I feel a little bit weird about slathering foodall over my face, but hey, it's all in a good cause! I imagine this one would be pretty good for hair, too.
