Review: Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream in Gladiola

Tonight I will tell you a little bit about my experience with Stila. I have never heard about the brand until I started looking for an illuminating foundation. I bought the foundation from Buyapowa and when I received it I wasn't happy, it was half empty and the formula was weird, with bits of oil and some dried up product as well. I sent it back and got my money back. It's a shame, because I really wanted to use it.
When I was shopping in TKmaxx I came across sets of Stila makeup for £7.99 and £9.99! I couldn't resist it and I bought 2 sets. Five products in total. It was a great bargain. The shades were a guess, because of the cardboard packaging, but I took the risk. I got a foundation, concealer, lipgloss, lipstick and convertible color cream. Today I am reviewing the Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Stain in a very bright shade- Gladiola.

STILA CONVERTIBLE COLOR DUAL LIP AND CHEEK CREAM in GLADIOLA 32g £16.00 link

INFO:Stila's ingenious lipstick and blush-in-one proves to be irresistible. This versatile favourite brightens cheeks and lips with creamy, translucent colour. Tap onto cheeks and press onto lips. The sheer tint adds an inherent glow to the cheeks while lips bloom with fresh, radiant colour. Our two-in-one compact holds the key to easy, monochromatic makeup. A must-have in every Stila girl's kit. How to Use: Apply with a firm blush brush, like Stila Brush no. 1, and use very light strokes to achieve a flawless airbrushed effect or apply with fingertips and blend outward and upward.
For lip application, apply with Brush no. 6 or fingertips. Keep pastel or pink shades around the apple of the cheeks and neutral or contour colours should be blended below the cheekbones. For easy application to cheeks, press your ring finger into cream and gently blend ring finger against your thumb to warm up the colour - then tap colour into cheeks.
MY OPINION: This is the first cream blusher in my makeup collection. I was always scared of the application and wasn't sure about it. Now I can jump on the cream blusher bandwagon  and finally share my opinion with you... I really like it :)
The formula is very creamy and it applies and blends beautifully! I use my fingers to apply it to my cheeks. I don't use it on my lips, as it looks a little bit patchy and I find it quite drying, unless I use a lot of lip balm first. It is very pigmented and I was quite shocked with the brightness of the colour at the beginning. After blending it looks lovely on my cheeks and it is a perfect colour for summer, teamed with my Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti and Essie nail polish in Braziliant. I think I am developing a little obsession with orange... :)  I am so glad I bought this!
Next time you are in TKmaxx, have a look at their beauty selection and you may find some Stila makeup sets. The best buy of the year so far!
